Excellent Excellent service by all staff.
Manager "Rachael"was too good in service.
Food was excellent.
All the staff were continuously checking if you needed anything more like "More Coffee".

If you are looking for a comfy, unpretentious, diner experience, Velvet Grill & Creamery is the place to go! The food is better than Denny's and they make their own ice cream! You have to try the Heath bar ice cream!

Great delicious tasting food!.. we are here from Los Angeles ????.. we support the non chains restaurants respectfully.. and came across this Great place!. I highly recommended it ????.. the service was incredible.. homemade food cooked with love ❤️....I will definitely come back. A must try
Awesome diner with stellar food. I had the chicken fried steak with grilled veggies and a milk shake. Easy parking and great service. Very homey and everyone knows everyone atmosphere. Everyone in my party was very satisfied.
We are regulars at the McHenry location and we decided to go to this location because we were by the mall. The food here is is really good. We have enjoyed every visit to The Velvet Grill. Jovita had her usual go-to breakfast, the # 1. I had the Un-Club sandwich. For our beverages, we had iced water and I had a strawberry ice cream soda in addition.
We've only ever come here for breakfast so I can only comment on breakfast foods. Everything we've ever ordered has been DELICIOUS! We've tried a couple samples of their ice creams and they are also top notch. We've never had any issues with any of the employees they've always been kind and courteous and quick.
We only got a breakfast menu, then saw burgers get brought to a table next to us. Loved our breakfast...just would have liked to see what else was offered. Waitress was the bomb...the girl who sat us seemed to be stressed and had a bit of attitude
This place survived COVID due to it being a staple of the community. The pancakes are the best in town, made with oatmeal. The portions are large and you get that small town service with a smile.
