Delicious coffee in a clean, modern environment. The barista was professional and knew his stuff, although the maybe could have been more casual given the rural environment. That being said, we liked the decor and the coffee itself was worth the visit. Food options were basic pastries but they were tasty.
Lovely and clean. Great coffee. The staff are so nice, they even gave us some free cake as we went there just before closing. Will definitely be back!
Something of a cyclist's idyll - which is fine by me, as it was the finest sight on Earth when 50km into a 90km ride. Great coffee, good enough grab & go sandwiches and lovely to meet a work colleague of a friend of mine by sheer coincidence.
If you have not visited KG Coffee in Ongar, you must! By far the best independent coffee shop in the area. Staff are all lovely, in particular Gabriel and his wife.
Oat milk cappuccino is lovely and tried the homemade cheese and spinach pastry this morning and it is delicious.
Everything from service to music they play makes for a really enjoyable daily visit.
I had hoped for some coffee knowledge, but the server (I will not call him a Barista) did not know what a light roast coffee is.
I then asked for a filter coffee and he made me espresso with added hot water.
Pretty poor from a place which markets itself as a premium coffee shop.
The server was friendly enough, and the espresso was ok, but over extracted slightly. Having said that the coffee seems to be of higher than average quality, with a nice acidity and fruity undertones.
With a quality bean such as this, it needs staff who know what they are doing.or at least know a little about coffee.
Had toasty and a latte, both very good and good service. Quite a few people in the cafe. Car park across the road from cafe -£1 per hour. Would visit again when in Ongar.
This is new to us and from the look of things it's fairly new on the high street.
First impressions it looks lovely, really nice from the outside and very modern on the inside, I loved the decor, the colour scheme was very relaxing and some great design touches
The coffee was excellent, and we had a choice of sandwiches and cakes in a fridge, once chosen were decanted onto a plate to enjoy or of course ready for take away
The carrot cake I chose was one of the best I'd tried, I think maybe midweek their maybe more sandwich choices, it was a Sunday we visited.
I really enjoyed the whole experience
Friendly atmosphere,great coffee and delicious snacks at reasonable prices.
Attentive and friendly staff(Mihaela and Gabriel ????????????????.) I will definitely come back.
