Best KPortal Reviews

A nice cafe near Rosemead and I-10. The decoration is very cute and great for photos. They have bubble waffles of different flavors. Most of them taste similar but the best thing to me was the cream to pour over. I think the coffee was a bit too sweet but my friend said it’s a bit too bitter. Large parking lot for the mall. Clean restroom.
This place is an absolute gem! Their coffee drinks are amazing, with my favorite being the Ube Vietnamese Coffee. The waffles are super tasty and a perfect way to start your morning.
The decor is super aesthetic, featuring comfy couches and tables that make it a great spot to relax and enjoy your dessert.
Some must-try items include:
- Ube Iced Coffee ⭐
- Coconut Pandan Egg Waffle
- Black Sesame Egg Waffle ⭐
- Strawberry Egg Waffle
- Thai Tea Oreo Blended ⭐
- Avocado Coffee ⭐
I've driven by this place many times, seen it on socials, and am happy that I finally got to try it out this weekend. My new fave Viet Coffee spot in the 626!?

Pandan Coconut Waffle
Black Sesame Waffle
TASTE:
Not to be unoriginal but my favorite was the OG, straight up Viet Coffee. Not to say the other drinks were bad in anyway, it's just I enjoy the original version so much, I don't think any variation ever stands up to it. Strong bold coffee, balanced out by the proper amount of sweetness, always so good.
The other drinks which are basically Viet Coffee but with a flavored cream on top all reminded of Da Vien (in the OC) when I first saw the pics. I'll have to say that I may prefer these though simply since I like the texture of the creams better than the overly thick versions at Da Vien. This way they can more easily be mixed into the overall drink for better flavor balance.
The Sesame Coffee was interesting since even though the coffee is so strong, you can detect that roasted, nutty flavor adding another dimension which is worth a try. The Matcha Coffee has a strong enough matcha flavor which is not lost when it's paired with the strong coffee base and is a good choice if you enjoy both matcha and coffee. The Ube Coffee has a nice look with it's deep purple color and was overall the sweetest with light notes of coconut coming from the ube.
I don't get these type of waffles often but since I enjoy the black sesame flavor I tried the Black Sesame Waffle and it's really good paired with the sesame cream. The waffle itself is quite light and has a pretty subtle sesame flavor which is nice. Having it with the cream added a little more sesame flavor along with salt and sweet.
SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING:
The service was very good here. They were nice at the counter and even though it was very busy, they service was still there.
The are located right at the corner of Rosemead & Garvey in Garvey Rose Center, right across from Starbucks. Parking is easy since the center has it's own parking lot. If you know the area, you know the intersection right here is very busy so be careful leaving the parking lot.
There are about 6 tables inside and an aesthetically pleasing wall for you to use for your IG photos of your drinks.
If you are looking for a solid Viet Coffee spot that's not in the OC, you should make your way to Waffle Studio.
Cheers!
I was passing by this area and decided to stop by Waffle Studio for fun. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this place is! They have a variety of delicious waffles, teas, and coffees to choose from. I ordered the strawberry waffle, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was so good that I almost finished it by myself. I also tried the house salted coffee and the coconut coffee blended, both of which were smooth and flavorful. The house salted coffee had a nice balance of sweet and salty, while the coconut coffee blended was creamy and refreshing. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the cafe was cozy and cute. They have a lot of decorations and seating options, perfect for a small chat or a relaxing break. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food and drinks. I would definitely come back here again and try their other waffle flavors, such as pandan, sesame. Waffle Studio is a hidden gem in South El Monte that deserves more recognition and customers. If you are looking for a place to satisfy your sweet tooth or your caffeine craving, you should check out Waffle Studio!
Cute little spot with indoor seating, got the Vietnamese coffee and ube coffee. Both were delicious. I will definitely be coming here again. There was only one person working though so take that into consideration if you order hot food because it will take a while. My husband ordered the cream cheese taiyaki. It was soft, creamy, and not too sweet. He gave the taiyaki a 10/10
Uhm... This place went overboard with the romantic flowers and decor... With a cherry on top! So if you come here, bring your intimate partner --just not all of them at once ????!
Guys behind the counter aren't necessarily the suit-and-tie professionals necessarily, but they do their job and get things done. Took about 10 minutes to make 2 tiny Taiyaki's.
Their Avocado Coffee was interesting. Ice wasn't super-fine like snow or slush, but still very small ice piece's, which the old guy in me actually prefers.
Honestly this place was stodgy. I'm giving it 2 stars because the decor was alot of fun but other than that the waffles themselves were boring and they took a very long time to make. They look pretty but needed some deeper flavor profiles.
I usually don't make it a habit of leaving positive reviews because, I admit, I am selfish! ????. But today I had a exceptional and rare experience and I promise to leave a review. Well, like I said I am selfish when it comes to finding a spot or place I truly enjoy overall. From the drinks, the deserts, the privacy, modernly cuteness style, the cleanliness of the place to the customer service experience!
There is nothing more valuable to me that will top the first sip of my drink that tastes like a happy customer! ☺️. Although today they made and inocente but justifiable mistake to not add my cheese waffle to the order a beautiful young lady made sure I went home with it & with a grand smile on her face. She assured excellent customer service. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I'll see ya next week!
PS. This place is like a book. You'll be surprised to find the tresure inside. Don't judge it by it's outside cover.
