Best KPortal Reviews

I wish that I had tried this restaurant sooner. It is great. Out of the 4 "meat-and-three" type of restaurants in Ellijay, this is now my favorite by far. Great food. Great, friendly service. Large portions. Reasonable prices. You can't beat it
This place is awesome! Very friendly and very service is fast and the food!!!! The food is awesome! You gotta try their Fried Green Tomato BLT!!! It’s so yummy! Add a little is their Buffalo Ranch spread and it’s over, your taste buds will go crazy! Run Don’t walk to this lil spot!
This is a great little local place for breakfast & lunch. Coffee is always fresh and they never let you run out! Food is really good! The wait staff is very nice and personable. I eat here a lot for breakfast. Definitely worth a try if you like good ol country cooking!
I really hate to leave bad reviews but unfortunately that's all I have for this establishment after eating there for breakfast last Saturday morning. We sat down at our table and it was wet, our napkins and menus were placed on a wet table. The waitress seemed a little disgruntled when I asked if we could get our table dried off, the napkins we had weren't enough to dry it. We received our drinks and my cup was sticky. When we got our food my plate was chipped as seen in the picture and very sharp. The omelette was a 3 egg omelette with cheese, sausage and mushrooms, any other toppings cost extra. You did not get any sides with what I ordered either. I asked for salsa and sour cream to which I was told they don't have nor have they ever had sour cream. I was kind of shocked since I do know they have served baked potatoes. I didn't get any salsa either, I had to use jelly for some kind of flavoring.
My husband got the sampler plate and was not happy with his breakfast either. The gravy was very flour forward, the eggs and tater tot casserole were very oil forward. My omelette did not taste like egg it tasted like straight oil, shiny like it too. Our waitress kept complaining about the "new things" they were trying. One of which was placing napkins under the bowls on the plates so they didn't slide off. I get it, I have dumped oatmeal on a table because the bowl slid off but the issue here was the napkins were also laying in my husband's eggs. There was another waitress who asked a couple to move so she could sit, what was obviously a favorite regular family, at the location where she sat this couple at a table instead of a booth to begin with. That waitress was also very loud and obnoxious and unprofessionally talked about our waitress with the group she just had the couple move for.
They now are trying to have a cashier at the front that you pay as you leave. Awesome, except an obnoxious waitress came and jumped in front of my husband and another gentleman who had been waiting to pay to have the cashier ring out another table. It was just an unpleasant experience all the way around.
I can say that the biscuit was pretty good. I think that was the only thing my husband was able to finish on his plate.
This place has the most friendly people!!! The hamburgers are THE BEST in Ellijay!!! Everyone needs to check this place out I had not ever eat there and I am so glad I did this is mine and my husband’s new favorite restaurant in town! The price was great but the food and atmosphere where the up most FIVE STAR!!!
Not quite sure where to start on this one. It was highly rated by Google reviews, so we thought it was worth a shot. While the atmosphere is pleasant, much like that of a home-cooked country restaurant, the food tasted just about anything but home-cooked. The tomato sauce and green bean cans being used for light fixtures probably should have tipped us off.
For the record, we ordered lunch and not breakfast. Breakfast might be fantastic for all we know, but unfortunately will not go back to dine out. I ordered the burnt ends sandwich, which the menu indicates is not always available. What I received was cold, chewy, fatty, bland brisket in between two pieces of grilled Texas toast. My side was baked beans, which tasted like they’d just been pulled from the refrigerator, they were so cold. The bbq sauce was from a can, which really didn’t enhance the flavor of anything. If they actually smoke this meat, I’d be curious as to how they smoke it and what they it with because it had no smoke flavor to it whatsoever. It tasted like it had been boiled in a pot, reheated from a couple of days ago.
My wife had the Philly Cheesesteak, which she said was okay but nothing to write home about. Her side was the onion rings, which whole greasy, were good and definitely homemade. The bill was about $30, which was WAY too much for the quality of food we were served.
I had read that another reviewer commented on the nastiness of the bathroom and they were correct, 100%. The restrooms at Pilot truck stops are honestly cleaner.
Sorry but this place needs a LOT of work.
Amazing breakfast for a very reasonable price. Everyone is so professional and food is delicious. I highly recommend this mom and pop restaurant. Go support your mom and pop businesses!
A++++
BIZARRE experience. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant in my life. The waiter kept making “jokes" and would not leave us alone.
We would ask for something simple like a napkin and his response was “Are you sure you really want one? Are you really sure? Are you sure?” he said he makes his money making people laugh. It was so WEIRD the way he lingered at our table the entire time and wouldn’t leave us alone.
We were the only people in the place. Now we know why.
Food was ok but the experience alone was enough to make me NEVER go back and to advise everyone else to steer clear. Creepy creepy place. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
