Nice location, gives you a big town feel. Nice, clean and good service . Chicken tenders and side salad are good. Would recommend trying a margarita. We will definitely stop again and try something else.
They need more staff to help move orders along faster. Food is fantastic if you can keep your kids from going crazy in the mean time.
The food was really good! But we sat at a table for about a half an hour with none of the waitresses acknowledging us. So we went to the bar and ordered drinks. Sat there for another half an hour. Still no one. So we walked back up to the bar and ordered food. Waited another hour and a half for three apps and a pizza which were all very good. To pay, we had to go back up to the bar and stand there for about 10 minutes before we cashed out.
Overall, the food was really, really good but the service was not. The restaurant was about half full when we were there so I was surprised that everything was sooo slow.

The tiny historical village of Protivin is the ???? sphere. Packed on a Friday night as it should be. Kept the servers busy.
I would have given the service a 5 but the poor lady didn't have enough help. She was running the bar & grill alone. We waited 15-20 minutes for service. More help came in..... I think it was a timing thing. Overall excellent.
I always love to drop in at The Place when I'm in town. The pizza is incredible, the service is friendly, and you're always surrounded by good people. One of my all-time faves.
The pork tenderloin sandwich is excellent. Start it off with the cheese curds. They don't disappoint.
