Ordered mild spicy, food came extra spicy. I called saying they did it wrong. The staff was implying it’s because my taste is not tolerable to spice and the chef came from a place famous for spicy food, so the standard is based on the chef’s taste. They just simply made a mistake and can you imagine? They blame customers when receiving reviews!
This is the place you want to avoid. Yesterday we ordered a 小炒牛肉，红烧牛肉饭 and 夫妻肺片. After eating their food we feel uncomfortable and need to vomit. This morning still feel like want to vomiting and it ruined my whole day. I think the food is definitely not fresh, not to mention they put too much oil to their food. Disgusting.
This place is maybe not for everyone but it is quite lucky to have decent hot pot spot in your neighborhood(especially in Jersey city+hoboken). The spicy level of broth is..quite authentic(fire!!????), decent slection of ingredients and portion is quite generous..! It might be little challenging for communication or using of the sauce bar which is not very clean nor organized.. but! It is simply enough to enjoy a slow meal w relaxing atmosphere. They play chill jazz/classic for background music. That's rare for hot pot place ????
Bad food! Expensive price!
The quality of the food was not reflective of its steep price point. I found the dishes to be lacking in flavor, freshness, and general appeal. It was immediately evident that the ingredients used were not up to par, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste and presentation.
Even more concerning was the adverse effect the meal had on my stomach shortly after consuming it. It is deeply regrettable that a meal from a restaurant with such pricing would result in physical discomfort and unease.
Great find in the area! We were just walking around and discovered this place. The skewers were very tasty and I wish I ordered more! The hotpot soup was not too flavorful, but they had a good variety of dishes and the meat was pretty fresh. A good late night snack place
The place is simple with a small menu. Byob, not your typical hotpot place. They have 2 options, a shared pot or mini pot. In the mini pot all the ingredients come in skewers and already cooking in the soup. They also have bbq skewers you can order on the side.
The place is overly priced. Probably the most expensive al la carte hotpot place I've been to. Worst part and most important part that I disagree with is that they charge you for sauce! Unheard of for hotpot! Portions are plated nicely but beware the portions are small so plates add up quickly. $$$
Cut throat EXPENSIVE and nothing special about this place. None of the servers were attentive. They were all their phones all the time. Spent about $35 and I was still hungry. $12 for the soup without any rice or noodles, one order of lamb for $8 and beef for $8. Had to pay extra for the noodle. The soup was plain like I have to pay extra for the salt. The sauce options were tiny. None of the sauces tasted anything good :(. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. This place should go out of business. If you want to have hot pot, try all you can eat one instead of this place. I won't recommend everyone to try it unless you want to waste your money.
There was 3 Staff memebers that only spoke their native language however, they communicated with my friend and I through translation on a phone. Extremely friendly and we came in during a rush hour. Making their online orders, getting them out as quick as they can all while serving my friend and I. They were very busy, my friend and I respected and appreciated their hard work. AMAZING FOOD!! We couldn’t finish our meal, they gave out large portions and more. I’m very happy I came here again and met a new staff that were very friendly and cheerful. Made us feel at home. Definitely coming back here!
For those wondering of pricing, it’s a little pricey but we ordered alot for two. You choose what you want to eat and pricing is next to the item. We spent about $80.
