If you want to grab a bite early, particularly on a weekend, Happy chef is a good choice! They're open by 730. Fresh coffee, English breakfast, eggs, you name it! I had their poached eggs on toast. Good stuff! The owners are friendly and welcoming. The view of the pier is nice too! It's priced quite reasonably.

Just came off a cruise and this food is hands down 10 times better than anything on the ship.
The eggs were perfect cooked and the tomato’s were farm fresh; someone is paying attention to the inbound produce.
In fact this was the best meal I have ever had in the UK and super inexpensive.
Best burger I've tried in a wile, absolutely exquisite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Apparently they do more breakfast and late lunch, but now they are planning to extend menu. Can't wait!! I've been few times in Dover, definitely is worth it go there to try their food, hospitality and approachable prices. 100% recommended
Without doubt (and consistently) the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Always bring clients here and they say the same too. Always have the fully loaded (and ask for melted cheese and onions on outside) will blow your minds. Enjoy ;)

Edited: When is this place ever open! Looks like such an amazing establishment for breakfast, lunch and dinner but everytime I go near this place, it’s shut. What an absolute shame

I gave the 1 star review for a number of reasons. Perfectly understand that you are having some personal issues. However for the residents of Snargate street we notice this establishment is now slowly decaying away especially the awnings. Other businesses and residents of Snargate street have spoken about the closure of the cafe and disappointed to see that it hasn’t been opened under temporary management or something similar during this time. The note you have left on the door clearly does state that there is a reason for closer however you have also included that the reopening wouldn’t be too far away.. but seems that the note was written last year and yet still not open. Il maintain and stand with my review and hope to change it when it does reopen .. IF it reopens. Thank you.
Friendly staff, excellent food, great value, takeaway containers environmentally friendly. Definitely will be back!

The smoothies are delicious. The service was very quick and friendly. The food was okay, bog standard breakfast. The portions were very big, maybe too big.
