As you can see from the picture…the portion size of the LARGE chips is abysmal at best for £4! My local chippy does a large portion of chips which feeds 4 of us (2 adults and two kids) easily and sometimes there’s left overs for £3! Come on guys…This was just ridiculous!
My advice is to check your portion size in your tray before leaving (I didn’t).
The rest of the meal was fine, fish was nice, gravy and curry sauce was decent so you get 3 stars…just the chips let it down so minus 2 ????????

We’ve been coming here for about 5 years and it’s been consistently one of the best chip shops I’ve ever been to. Large chips are huge and the fish portions are also very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Didn't have high expectation being the only chippie in the village as most times in this scenario they don't step up. But couldn't have been more wrong here. Most places were closed for food on a Thursday in October, so it was a chippie tea for our last night. Food was cooked to order and you got a buzzer (seen in restaurants) for when your order was ready so you could sit in car waiting the 10 mins. Haddock was top notch and stayed crispy to the last mouthful, chips well cooked and a decent size. Special of salt n pepper chicken and curry sauce also excellent. All a decent price including mushie peas which was a good size. Friendly staff... Nothing to complain about.... In my top 5 chippies in UK.
Fish (cod) was lovely... Cooked fresh to order.... Chips slightly undercooked but gravy peas and the tartar sauce were great!!
But no Haddock ????

We had average fish and chips which was expensive. The customer service left a lot to be desired they were quite grumpy ! Asked twice for lots of salt and vinegar but they only put it on the top so none of the chips had any. Honestly when you pay £18 for fish and chips for two, you’d at least expect them to be more accommodating. I left most of it because the chips were tasteless.
Good to visit again after long closure. Fish and chips still good.
Best fish and chips I’ve had in ages! Service was friendly, efficient and accommodating. Delicious food, will certainly return.
