After over 20 years of living in Catford, I finally visited this place recently and can’t believe what I’ve been missing my whole life. In a way, I’m slightly glad I’ve only just discovered it as I might have been double my size by now! This place is so so affordable and offers value for money - most people end up taking the leftovers home!
Stingy people. Terrible customer service. The delivery driver was almost 2 hours late, but we didn't complain and instead just heated up our food at home. However I had ordered seafood noodle soup and the noodles had soaked up almost all of the broth and I called them to ask for either a replacement or a refund because it was inedible since the noodles had turned to mush and yet they refused to, despite it being their fault. The woman on the phone also tried to blame me for not asking for the noodles separately even though that is not an option on the website and this is their default packaging. As a returning customer, I am extremely disappointed.
This place has been in Catford it seems for ever and whilst they have totally redone the decor the concept remains the same, quick service, big portions. The food does come up as it is ready which doesn't generally bother me I would rather eat it when cooked than when it has sat there for a few minutes. Cash only and you order at the till. Very reasonably priced for London. If I find myself in Catford again I will be back.
Eating in, myself and another customer didn’t receive the correct order, chicken balls, batter undercooked, noodles swimming in grease as chips also, staff eating with hands to mouth,and handling money and taking food to table in between, asked for a container to take out, as I would have passed food along to hungry person I’d pass on way home, but I got given a paper bag to take, ???? pouring with rain outside!!!
As a Chinese I highly recommend this place as it meets all my expectation with a reasonable charge. Roast Pork & Duck with fried rice is on my top list. Noodle soup is nice while beef could have tasted better. Definitely will come again if I stay in London for bit longer. What a pity!
Friendly staff in a decently designed Chinese restaurant. Prices are ok but the restaurant is let down by being cash only, having a tiny drinks menu and the food being quite bland for Asain food. Portion sizes are massive but fortunately takeaway is an option for a 50p charge.
It is worth coming in groups or for a quick meal.
Generous serving sizes, quick and friendly service. Tasty and filling stuff. Drinks are pricey for what you get though. Still good overall.
