Amazing waterfall and is definitely worth the visit, there was heaps of water due to the rain all day.
Be careful when making your way down as the paths are uneven & the stairs to the beach are deteriorating. It is to the left when reaching the beach. Waterproof footware is recommended as walking barefoot can be cold. (We visited in November).
Loved the sunset, as we got to witness the most beautiful colours in the sky. Despite the weather being really gloomy and dark when we parked the car. It was a different world when we walked onto the beach. Parking was absolutely worth it. Ladies at the office were lovely and helpful.
There were signs of high tide though so it would be good to check before going or else you won't be able to walk on the beach to see the waterfall.
Beautiful waterfall on a lovely beach.
We had a wonderful few hours wandering around hunting for beach treasure for the kids (rocks and shells)
Steep slippery slope down. Wear decent shoes.
Keep an eye on the tide.
I've often wondered how you got down to St Audrie's Bay and my friend showed us how to drive down.
It's a little world down there, very pretty and rural.
Taking the path and stairs to the beach only takes a minute or two.
Great beach some lovely man-made or maybe natural rock paths, cliffs have very colourful sediments and the waterfall is definitely a lovely feature. Will ensure I try this out during this summer period.
Lovely site and a decent beach to stroll down as long as you catch low tide.
Parking has restricted size so be prepared at busy periods.
Easy enough access but a pretty steep slippery path down to the beach
Beautiful beach near to Watchet. Access is through a private holiday park, but you can pay £4 to park there and walk down some steep steps to the beach. It's rocky and when the tide is out there are a lot of opportunities to scramble. The highlight is the waterfall which was flowing well when we visited. The cliff face itself is constantly crumbling so stay back. You will probably hear a rockfall during your visit.
The way down to the beach is right opposite the car park. A scree path which can be slippery when wet, there is a hand rail. This path leads to concrete steps down to the beach. Well worth the effort if you're able bodied, unfortunately no access for wheelchairs. £4 parking fee seemed high but after getting down there thought it worth it.
A gem of a beach. Beautiful coastline with a freshwater waterfall.
Steep access so not suitable for those with mobility issues or with push chairs. A stoney beach so don't head here if you prefer to just sit on the sand.
It's perfect for fossil hunting and exploring rocks.
Be careful of the tide as it comes all the way to the cliff edge.
Turn left at the bottom of the steps for fossils, best to head around to the corner of the bay or turn right for the waterfall.
Car parking is £4 for the day at the local caravan park. Make sure you have change and pay at reception.
A beautiful place to visit. As a midlander the beach was spacious and very quiet. The children enjoyed the sea while I sat near the waterfall. Plenty of fossils around too! A grand day out. Dropped a star as the water is a bit murky and the sand quite muddy, but the children loved it which gave us adults space to relax.
