I use S&S whenever my old Focus throws up problems (which isn't too often!) I chose this mechanic because they are the nearest to me, and over the last couple of years I've not regretted that decision. They are friendly, good value, skilled, and honest. If something didn't need to be done they didn't do it, even though they could easily have made extra. Honesty and decent customer service gets my business every time. 100% recommended.
We have been customers of S&S for over 10 years, after being recommended them by friends, and we wouldn’t trust anyone else with our cars. They are friendly, always fit us in when something goes wrong and are more than happy to give advice on new car purchases. There are very few businesses I would trust to say “do whatever is needed” in this case, to get the car through the MOT knowing they would only do exactly what was needed.

Brought my Perodua Nippa in here a few years ago. Like some others I had an experience where they broke a part and then expected me to pay to replace it. Cowboys! Go elsewhere. I see they responded dishonestly below. Apparently as well as being shoddy, dishonest car mechanics they are practiced and habitual liars. Not a combination you would want to do business with.
That's two MOTs- with repairs- they've done for me now.
Prices are fair and reasonable, their work quality is faultless and they work fast- really fast.
I am highly critical, and rarely happy with any workshops, so to find one that is worthy of 5 stars is a hell of an achievement. I certainly won't be using any other workshops for repairs, servicing or MOTs in the future.
