The Loch Lochy viewpoint on the A82 is an absolute marvel! Great parking, views of the locks and surrounding mountains. A snack wagon is normally here. And it's a good place to paddleboard.
It has small stony shore you can walk and get some good views.
An enjoyable and welcome lay-by stop. It had two mobile burger bars in place one with noisy generator permanently running which spoils the peace of the place. Care is needed entering and leaving this place because the road is fast and straight here. There are some interesting interpretative boards about the geological history of the Great Glen.
Great parking lay-by. Perfect place for a picnic on the beach. A little bit of a hill getting on to the beach but not too bad they also have a snack van parked there aswell. Beautiful Views.
Great place to have a nice view of the Loch. Quite some people parked there, but that makes sense given the popularity of the place and the beauty of the Loch.
We stopped there for lunch on our way to Skye. The view and the breeze was amazing. It was a partly cloudy partly sunny day and was really comfortable. Would for aure stop again if I ever find myself on that road again.
Lovely serene and calming views especially during sunset. Parking available at bay and plenty of space to have a nice break and barbecue
