Two night Autumn stay in a lovely location Excellent service, lovely breakfast, large bright sea view room with off road parking too. Brendan was a great host who really made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Thank you .
Our stay was very lovely, we stayed for one night prior to taking the ferry to Belfast. The owner Brendan is an absolute gem, even woke up incredibly early to make us a very hearty and tasty takeaway breakfast at 5:30AM for our 7AM which was very kind as we didn’t want to bother him that early.
Beautiful view from the sea view room with great accommodations including coffee, water, and tea. The place was clean and well-appointed with a giant king sized bed which was quite comfortable.

What a treasure of a place. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, but close enough to walk if need be. Brendan and Nicola are perfect hosts and their little girl is adorable. The bed in the ground floor double was super comfy and the breakfast was wonderful. I won't hesitate to recommend Briar Brae to anyone who needs to be in Stranraer for the night. 10/10
The house was wonderful with a very spacious room and so very comfortable bed! Everything was clean and again- did I say how cozy the bed was?|The view was amazing to wake up to and breakfast was delicious!|We got on the ferry the next day and it’s just minutes away|I’d definitely recommend staying here

Brendan is an excellent host, polite, friendly and very accommodating. The location is right on the seaside and just minutes away from the ferries. The rooms are clean, warm. Bed is comfortable. Shower is spacious. Towel radiator a welcome feature. Breakfast, Scottish full fry up, is very good and prepared with care, particularly eggs and mushroom cooked to perfection, black pudding sourced from local butcher rich in flavour with pleasant texture. Highly recommended not only for its ideal location close to the port but also to explore the beautiful countryside!!
Great B&B, comfortable, clean, well equipped rooms with a modern ensuite bathroom. Great location over looking Loch Ryan. I stayed here when I had a working trip to Belfast. Brendan was a great host, he even made breakfast for me at 5:30am although I said I didn't want to bother him so early. I would highly recommend.
Excellent, lovely room and extra small touches (biscuits/chocs/water etc). Great sleep, gorgeous breakfast. Brendan very friendly - nothing too much bother. Still got 2 nights here but already we will be back!
