Having been passed from pillar to post from dr to dr and then getting some meds prescribed again without having been seen ( even though requested a face to face appointment ) i travelled from where my work is which is not local to the chemist where all meds get sent to find them not there ! phoned the dr's the next days to find it was waiting at the surgery to be picked up as it hadn't been sent. The drs only seem to cater for unemployed as us 8.30 - 5 workers cant get a appointment's or make it to the surgery in open time to pick up prescriptions that should have been sent electronically.
Staff in reception care very little and are very unhelpful in many regards.
I have been a patient here all my life and the deterioration of this practice is shocking.
Always been a problem to get an appointment to be seen. Only took a child to die for them to wake up and take poorly children seriously. Receptionist will always have something to say. They are rude in their approach. They are more qualified than the doctors. When they tell you what medication and how much you need. Better yet go to the pharmacy or make your way to A&E.
seriously need to look at training your receptionists to be more sensitive to the patients. You’re in the wrong line of work if communication is not your strong point.
Reception staff and doctors are really rude and shout at people don't even look at you and send you to A&E they are not qualified to work there clearly it's a disgrace. You have no way of making a complain to anybody. It's a shame you cannot leave them 0 stars
Thank you Dr. Chandra, who caught my cancer early, even when it was hard to see it (according to my surgical doctor). He also arranged a quick scan and currently I am waiting for my surgery.
I had bad experience with the reception before, but doctors and nurses are always on top! Thank you York Road surgery.
This has been mine and my family local gp for the last 23 years and I have never had a problem with the service they provide. The receptionists, nurses and doctors are really polite and understanding. Thanks to Dr Chandra who has supported my mum a lot in regards to her overactive thyroid. I reccomend this gp it's the best so far.
My wife and I consider ourselves very fortunate to have a nearby surgery that takes care of us so well. As a cancer patient, my cancer was caught early, thanks to my GP, Dr Chandra, who quickly arranged a scan and, after having a course of radical radiotherapy (Dec 2018/Feb2019), things are still looking good two years later (as of 11/2021), although like most people after high-dosage Radiotherapy, I've been left with life-changing side effects. The surgery looks after my post-Radiotherapy issues as well as my COPD and mental health problems.
The reception staff are always helpful to patients and always do their best to get you an appointment with the particular doctor of your choice (If available on the day). Staff also offer practical advice and do all they can to help, even at busy times. They have several specialist nurses and a convenient pharmacy directly next door. The surgery is a real asset to our community, and they continue to be very supportive of my wife and I. All the doctors and staff at York road surgery are the best!
Very bad service from the receptionists, when they make a mistake, it's your fault not theirs, it's not their responseability to know what's planed for the surgery that day, and it's always someone else's fault, and if you raise your voice to try and get a anser, the nurse practitioner comes and stands beside you, tells you to leave whenyou ask for a complaints form, and when you do, follows you into the street,shouts you back and tells you your barred, In the street! And still didn't get a complaints form! Doctors are good if you can get to see them!
Disappointed and confused, took me a few days to finally get an appointment after weeks of discomfort, to the point where my work is becoming unbearable. The doctor I saw, I’ll not name was rude and undermining it made me feel very upset as I left the doctors been told I should get a different job and to find out what I’m allergic too, Isnt that what a doctor is supposed to do or actually transfer me to dermatology to find out. I now yet again have to suffer in pain because someone can’t listen to my complaints, I shall be changing doctors this time and hopefully then my problems should be sorted.
Overall quite disgusted and extremely let down by the service, I’ve been coming to this doctors since I was little so I’m disappointed.
