Someone close to me had to have emergency surgery here. They got really good care, I honestly think better than a lot of other hospitals.
If you’re visiting someone, try not to leave at 4pm. This is a shift change over time and so traffic is horrendous trying to leave the hospital!
If I could give a 0 star rating I would ! I gave birth here twice, my first time was back in 2022, my waters had broken on the Friday afternoon, I went straight to the hospital, I was just left on a ward till Monday and wasn’t induced till late on the Monday night which resulted in me and my baby having an infection and having to have antibiotics, my 2nd birth was August 2023, they was disgusting, my waters had broken 5weeks early and the 1 midwife told me she will just leave me until I get to 37weeks because she refused to induce me, baby’s heart rate kept dropping with every contraction I was having and was refused gas n air.
The staff are wonderful but totally inadequate size of hospital and carpark for the surrounding city and it's ever increasing population.
Just want to say a big shout out to the acute stroke unit. From the moment I got moved to Worcester from the Alexander, I was looked after by the nurses straight away. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they made me feel very comfortable immediately. Having been back multiple times since for various appointments and so on, all the nurses and doctors have been very welcoming and pleasant to interact with as they are always up for a laugh. A massive thank you to Dr mudagawda (sorry about the spelling) he has been perfect in explaining everything that has gone on so far!
Great hospital helpful staff good restaurants and services
Staff are amazing, helpful and so kind. Had a lot of reasons to go of late and every time the staff have been wonderful and can't fault the care.
A hospital visit is never enjoyable but I've had a couple of visits recently for scans and I don't think it could have gone smoother. The scans were prompt and the staff informative and friendly.
The place is a maze though (like most hospitals) and I did get a bit lost on the way out. Don't be shy in asking for directions.
Oh, and the parking was free (January 2022) ????.
15 hours in AnE thats still on going the whole experience is like some strange and unusual form of abuse, staff are a mixed bag either helpful,or snarky sarcastic and snide. Not sure what's done more damage, the infection or a night without sleep on a chair, been told within hour 1 that my partner needed an Iv for dehydration only to get it after 14 hours
