Atmosphere was great and Christmas decorations were awesome. Food on the other hand was not good. Fish and chips was very bland would not recommend. Spicy chicken was not very spicy. Looked and taste like they just sprinkled some hot sauce on it. Was nice size and would have been good if it was spicy.
They also added a surcharge that was not explained did not notice until was given receipt.
Cozy dining with yummy food! Staff are great as well. Definitely reccomend the Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. I loved the lobster mac and cheese that was on special at the time!
The wait was shorter than predicted and the inside is stunning. We ordered the artichoke dip, Shepard's pie, shrimp scampi (chef's special), espresso martini, and the violet delight. Cocktails were top tier, food was amazing, the waitress was great, and the host was very friendly! I am definitely coming back!
Visited with a group of 9 they found us a table within a couple of minutes.
We had two young children with us and this was no issue.
Service was fast and good nice to have a good cold Guinness whilst deciding on what to eat
Good menu with reasonable selection of food, they also allowed us to customise choices for kids vegetarians and a diabetic.
Great atmosphere inside we were quite early and I would guess it gets very busy.
Certainly a good choice for food and drink give it a try.
A fantastic spot, especially at a time like St. Patty’s day when we went. The owner was gracious enough to allow my sister’s boyfriend to use this place for proposing to my sister. She personally came in before the restaurant opened to open it up for us. She did not charge any money but just requested we dine there after. To be frank, we likely would have dined here whether or not she asked, as the food was delicious! The place got busy very quickly after opening, a true testament to popularity of this establishment. Our waitress was extremely accommodating and friendly. 10/10 would recommend
Fantastic atmosphere, good service, casual with a fancy feel. Pictured: chicken pot pie, house salad, cheese curds. Bartenders here know how to make a dry martini which is rare in my experience. Kudos!
Great experience here with my boyfriend who eats gluten free (celiac disease). Knowledgeable servers, separate gluten free menu with lots of options, and most importantly great food! One of the few places we’ve found in chi where you can get a celiac-safe burger (with bun) + fries ????????
Been here a couple of times. Good service, good food and a good atmosphere.
I came here for a quick drink with friends, just hanging with one, family dinners, date nights and weekend dining with the kids. Most experiences were great, so I recommend this place.
Notable dishes I liked are: Chicken Pot Pie, Shepherd's Pie and the Ribs. I also like their Founders lager and the dessert pies (they get them from some bakery in the area).
I did have a notable bad experience once when both service and food weren't that good. It also was very crowded and noisy.
We ordered the Wilde Burger which had no flavor, and the Drive Thru Burger which was over cooked and charred. The Perfecto Salad (without the fennel and with the balsamic dressing) and the Ribs were good.
