I have been coming to the Colne bakery since I was a small child.
I love the nostalgia almost more than the food. I take both my kids here for lunch at every opportunity and they like it as much as I did.
Wilds, please do not change or modernise this bakery! If we wanted a modern interior we would go across the road.
The locals love it the way it is !!
P.S don't start charging us to sit down and eat in. Wilds is part of the community, something other national bakeries fail to achieve. Don't ruin it please.

Came here daily for about 4 months whilst working a job in up in Nelson, 10 out 10 everytime. And proper customer service from the ladies working hard in there. Miss coming in
Not very clean, food all over the floor and staff are extremely slow and more interested in talking with each other rather than serving customers.
Purchased a cheese& onion pasty with nothing in it. Charges £1.90. Fir a shell of a pasty
This is a lovely bakery. I like how they have really big loaf cakes at great prices and old fashioned tins of biscuits and cakes. They have bags of broken biscuits etc. But then the actually bakery counter serves fresh hot and cold bakery food. Really good pies, pasties. And a great selection of cakes and biscuits. Also they do fresh ground coffee so whenever I am passing through while doing deliveries in the area I always like to stop off at this bakery. The staff are very pleasant and the place is clean and tidy, well kept and on top of it all the prices are really good.
A great variety of food from baked goods to freshly made hot or cold sandwiches and various pastry goods of the sausage roll and pies. A good selection of sweet pastries and desserts and a good selection of breads and delicious prepackaged biscuits
Now opens earlier, I was here at 7-30am this morning. A good hot bacon sandwich & cappuccino = £2-45. The friendly and helpful staff have a good hygiene system where the person making your sandwich is not operating the til, unlike the establishment across the road.
Always enjoyed our coffee and cake in Wilds until our last couple of visits when we tried to purchase boxed cakes to take home whilst paying for our usual order. 2 staff that I did not recognise were on us in a flash with terrible attitudes stating we could not eat them inside (which we wernt) due to the same attitude the previous week we walked out and have not returned. Shame because the other staff are lovely. There's a way to say things then there's just absolute rudeness.
