You have to applaud the staff for the effort that has gone into the festive decorations. We had fish and chips here one evening good food and service. We also ate breakfast here because we were staying in the adjoining hotel. Their Full English is the business! Friendly and welcoming staff.
This is now called " The Lugger" the food is delicious, I loved the mussels, there is a great menu here. Sunday carvery is to die for, best to book a table in advance. There's nothing better to sit outside in the sun with a nice cold Doom bar, just taking in the scenery of the prom , the ocean and of course the famous St Michaels Mount. They occasionally also have live music outside. Great atmosphere. Staff are great , friendly and polite.
Good food in a good location.
We visited here for a family lunch and found the food to be excellent. We all had Pizza and they were very good. They were as good as most Italian restaurants that I have visited and definitely better than some of the major chain restaurants.
Most main courses were between £10-15 per person and of course none of the drinks are cheap.
The view from the outside seating area of the Penzance coast is great. No better way to enjoy a meal than with the sounds of the ocean.
All in all a nice meal. Not cheap but good quality

Food was excellent. Quite big portions. The staff who served us were lovely and friendly
Popped in on mother's day on the off chance they had space and the lovely lady at the desk fitted us in straight away, had to wait 15mins for someone to finish but didn't think that was too bad considering, the place was buzzing and the carvery had x5 meats to choose from and every veg you could think of and an extensive vegetarian option too, the food was great, highly recommended, 5 *****.
Popped in totally unannounced, was alloted a table, no qualms whatsoever. Staff were friendly and attentive, food was lovely and even though it was early on in the day the place wasn't overcrowded. The only gripe I had was the drinks didn't arrive until we has nearly finished our meal, apparently the cold river cider is a slow pourer? Anyways it didn't upset the day, and yes I would go again
