Best KPortal Reviews
scan the qrcode on the table to order. We shared a large size of sauerkraut fish along with four dishes and two bowls of free white rice. Decent portion for two people. Overall the food taste good with great value. Also suitable for solo diners.
Their signature dish is the Hot Boiled Fish with pickles, offering various soup bases. The flavor is decent, not overly spicy. However, the wait time can be a bit lengthy, taking 30 minutes to fulfill our order.
If you love the Szechuan dish sauerkraut fish soup, then you must love this place. They have a very simple menu offering both the traditional spicy versions as well as tomato flavor version, in two sizes, with complimentary side dishes and unlimited refill of white rice, all at a very reasonable price. The food is great, service is fast, and the staff is friendly.
Good in terms of value.
But not worth 45 min of wait.
Fast food style, 20 per person.
Rice is all you can eat.
I would not come here again during the rush hour.
New place that opened up, and their primary offering is spicy fish! I was very excited and tried it right away, and have been there multiple times since then. The place is always bright, clean, and inviting as well.
I would say the wait has gotten much better! When I first went, even for 1 person the wait was a good 45min-1hr for weekend lunchtime. This last weekend when I went it was only maybe 10-15min. I went a little before noon on a Sunday.
They offer a few different kinds of spicy fish dishes, and you can pick some side items to cook in it. I chose the numbing-spicy fish with no sauerkraut, and added tofu and tofu skin. Food usually comes out fairly quick, and is always piping hot and delicious!
The only thing is if you are looking for a strong level of numbing spicy, you may be disappointed. While the dish offers a good amount of kick, it's not quite as spicy as some other restaurants. I quite enjoyed it, but just a note so you set the right expectations.
Overall a great new addition to the area, will definitely keep coming back for more!
I got the mala duck blood soup! The soup packed a rich and spicy flavor, the items in the soup all tasted great together. The duck blood absorbed the broth nicely, but still retained some of its original taste, which was great. There’s also pig intestine, tofu skin, bean sprout, and you could add your own side dish. I personally chose wide glass noodles, and I was a little disappointed to find that there was only a few noodles ???? in comparison to the other things in the soup, the ratio was definitely a little off. However, everything still tasted amazing! The complementary rice bowl fills you up anyways. I would also recommend trying the brown sugar cakes! They are a nice and toasty sweet treat to get you started before your meal.
Came here with my family on a Saturday at 11:30 am and it was already super busy inside and it got even busier afterwards!
Good:
- The tomato soup was super good - it wasn't spicy at all and that helped since I am not really good with spicy food. I liked the sweet potato noodle and the mushroom toppings which made it even better and more savory.
- Surprisingly liked the coconut lava bun - each one is really small but it wasn't too sweet and tasted pretty good!
- Portion sizes are super good here - really big and economical. Great money value.
- The food comes out super quick!
Bad:
- Not too much service it's super casual too
Overall this place was really unique, super fast, and food really hits the spot on a cold day!
Great food, friendly service, clean and well maintained setting. The steam rice is all you can eat. If only the serving size can be a bit more.
