Sadly we have to agree with the review below. If food is of good quality, hot and value for money, you don't mind paying. The food is definitely not this, won't be returning and nor will our friend's. Disappointing as this used to be a great place to eat.

First time I’ve been here since it’s been taken over. Oh my days….steak pie was like lasagne the pastry was so soggy. The chips tasted of mucky fat. Literally couldn’t eat the food. Service wasn’t great and the price is extortionate for what it is. I won’t return

Always call at the pie shop after an afternoon sesh in wakie, never had a bad meal here the pies are lovely, haven't tried the lasagne or the curry yet, my favourite is pork pie chips peas and gravy, hubby loves the steak pie ???? Matt the owner always has time for a chat, love to sit in the bay window and people watch ????recommended the pie shop to friends and family.

What an end to a superb night. Full of ale, we decided to try a few northern delicacies before negotiating a taxi ride back to hotels.What better then to head up the pie shop steps and feast upon homemade steak pie, chips, gravy and mushy peas. Thank you pie shop for a splendid meal. We will advise many others to visit in the future. One of our group did have to remove mushy peas from his trainers today.. and pleased to report the purity of the peas did not cause lasting damage.

Have been meaning to try this place for years and I did last night. Best pie, chips, peas and gravy ever. Chunky pieces of meat in the pie with just enough gravy. Absolutely delicious.

Got lasagna and chips, gorgeous it was

We called in on Saturday 18/2/23 all 6 of us. We all got seated with a panoramic view of the top of Westgate Monte Carlo strip. We had steak pie chips peas & gravy . Absolutely lovely after a few beers what a way to end the night. 10/10. I highly recommend you give it a try.

Used to love going here after a night out until last night. The owner kicked us all out because our friend bought food from a different takeaway then came in and sat with us. All 3 of us bought pies and drinks. It was disgusting behaviour from the owner, we weren’t hurting anyone. We’ll never be going here again.
