The brunch was fantastic!! Everything was great, our server was extremely helpful. If the hummingbird cake is on special order it! We got the Okonomiyaki with bacon on it, so good I'm afraid to try it with corned beef! If you haven't been for brunch, go!
Update: They stopped serving brunch and ramen. Very disappointing!
Original: I'm very impressed by this place. The ramen is excellent with high-quality noodles, flavorful broths, very fresh ingredients, and tender meats. The brunch menu is also loaded with amazing and unique options; even a simple cheeseburger is spectacular. They find subtle ways to elevate every dish on their menu. Service is excellent and servers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Vista is definitely a place worth frequenting!
One of the top rated restaurants in St. Louis ran by renown chef Chris Bork, this place is a combo small restaurant and HUGE flavors! You should definitely stop by on a Friday/Saturday or for their amazing 10am Sunday Brunch!
I hate leaving bad reviews. The vista ramen was really really bad, and everyone at our table agreed. The broth was like soy sauce water, and the pork, ugh, it wasn't pork belly or jowl, it was like a boiled piece of pork chop, all hard and dry. I really wanted to like it, but given that the name of the restaurant has"ramen," I can't recommend it. If it gave more focus on the other dishes, like the appetizers and drinks we sampled, then it wouldn't have been as much of a disappointment. It was a real disappointment, as we were all expecting amazing ramen. The ambiance, service, music, drinks, appetizers were all great and exceeded expectations, but the ramen was honestly just not very good.
Very different. Interesting. I had the pozole He had the Vista but with chicken and vegetable broth. Interesting taste and some strange taste as well. I will be back to try more.
The food was absolutely fantastic, but I kinda wish the restaurant was a little more spacious. Myself and the person sitting next to me were battling for elbow room while trying to enjoy our delicious Ramen the entire meal...
Good service and decent atmosphere, but the food is not that amazing. I had the Vista Ramen, which features pork belly, shrimp cake and a pouched egg. It sounds amazing, right? It's actually a bit bland. Maybe some of the other dishes are better, but I'm not in a rush to try it again.
Small restaurant with a trendy atmosphere. It's easy to get in during the week but expect to wait on the weekend. There are plenty of bars nearby to kill some time. The small plates are outstanding. I especially liked the short ribs. The ramen is amazing, I tend to rotate between the pork or seafood bowl. Service is always top notch.
