I should have posted this in June, but forgot
We travel to Reno and Tahoe frequently, but our favorite times are the winter and spring.
This winter was spectacular for snow, and the snow melt filled the river in downtown Reno.
It is a great park just to soak up sun, enjoy the sounds of the river and the sound of laughter, and basketball players on the playground. Bring a box lunch and enjoy.

Prominent among the series of bridges over river Truckee, in the downtown of Reno, this bridge is leading to historic Reno arch, and all the casinos.
Wanted to take good photos of it, but in hurry failed so.
This is definitely a fantastic architectural design. Replacing the original bridge due to the age and safety factors. It is a great photo shoot opportunity over looking the Truckee river. One of a few along Virginia Street going towards the downtown area and the iconic "Biggest Little City" neon sign.
It's a bridge over a creek, a fairly new one as well. The good points are the fact that this particular bridge is located just south of downtown Reno; it is directly adjacent to believe park, which has a few impressive peices of artwork.

Well the new bridge is in place unfortunately Virginia street is closed shortly passed the bridge still on a years long project. Reno is not known for expediency in road repairs it took a few years for them to get the new bridge in. Actually in 45 years I'm not sure they've ever had all the roads open. Always tearing something up then not having enough money to get it back together takes around 5 years of budget cycles to get the funds to reopen roads.
