When you go here, expect it to be crowded, and a line waiting. The food and service are excellent. I had the birria egg rolls and hubby had the steak/beef fajitas, with beans and rice. The egg rolls were crisp and packed full.. the consume was outstanding,, full of flavor and rich tasting.. Hubby said the fajitas were some of the best he has had around Louisville. Will definitely be going back again, so many great things to try.
The staff was great! We had a party of 5 and within five mins we were sat and had a great waiter. Our drinks were delicious and our food was even better than we thought it would be, heating many rave reviews before we went. Hands down some of the best food on Preston. Good live music on Friday night and a very attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back.
The food was pretty good but the service could have been alot better. We were not greeted when we entered. They said they thought we were carryout but still you need to greet us, don’t just stare at us like we were in the wrong place. Awkward…. ????
First time trying Veronica’s Mexican restaurant and it was a good experience. The queso was great, my quesadilla was good. We were expecting more flavor from the birria tacos based off of past reviews. Don’t think we will return but it was good to try it once.
Been hearing about this place finally got to go enjoy it had a party of 6 very quick to get a table .always a plus it was very crowded and it's really small inside so it's not the most comfortable place to eat however the people were friendly and I have no real complaints. The food was good and the waiter was nice I will return again .I gave the food a 3 because is seemed fresh but it wasn't very hot and I think it was due to the size of our party also it took 3 reminders to get our tortillas and my girlfriend had to wait 15 min before she could even start eating
Best Birria ever, and top 5 Mexican food restaurant we’ve ever been to. And I grew up in California and my wife in Arizona, we’ve had lots of authentic Mexican food growing up in the southwest. Service was quick, staff super friendly, and best food I’ve had in a long long time. And amazing real horchata, and my wife loved her margaritas. Very reasonably priced too. 10/10, highly recommend. Fredo was our server at the bar, he did fantastic.
First time here.It was super busy.wait was an hour long but i felt worth it. Issue with checking in for seating or placing to go orders as they have no waiting area. Parking can be a little tricking too.Food was good i was looking for something different and I got just that. My guess said the cheese dip needed to be hot and chesse on the jalapeno wasnt melted all the way. The birria tacos and brirria pizza delicious and egg rolls, the consume very good. If your looking for good margaritas they have those and strong too. They not shy with the alcohol or meat.A little pricey.
The saying goes, "Don't judge a book by it's cover" and Veronica’s Mexican Restaurant falls into that saying.
The place doesn't look to appealing from the outside, especially with the bars on the building, and the inside isn't anything special either.
But the food here, especially if you're in the mood for some birria, was worth trying out.
