Best KPortal Reviews

Wonderful curios, unique homeware and quality food cooked excellently. Best burger I have had in ages.
We came in here for fish and chips after we found our first option closed. What a surprise this little restaurant was! I did not expect much, but we had one of the best fish and chips we ever tasted. The batter was thin and crispy, no skin on the fish either. Lovely! Nothing's worse than having thick, soggy batter. The only criticism would be the potatoes, they were a bit overcooked. We'll definitely be back, please don't ever change your recipe! Nice ambiance as well as the restaurant is in the middle of a shop, loved the gas heater in the middle of the room, toasty warm. Maybe introduce a few gluten free options?
We visited earlier in this week, just after they'd opened. We were "greeted" by a lady who was clearly irritated by our presence, who told me that there was no coffee as the machine hadn't yet warmed up. I asked how long it might take, and her response was to tell me that their electricity bills were 18k a year and they now had to turn the machine off at night. I asked again asked how long it would take to warm up and she gave a vague response, clearly very irritated by us, so we left. Tbh, we would have waited had the lady being a bit friendlier.
We had coffee and croissant here and both were good. Pets are allowed. There is seating inside and out and the inside seating area is filled with collectables for sale. All prices of goods clearly marked. Would have awarded more stars but haven't really eaten more than a croissant. They do take away fish and chips that we do intend to try.
Well the food (that was available) was good. No full breakfast, only burger van style... Bacon or sausage bap. Coffee and baps served in paper cups and trays.
25p for a sachet of sauce. Really... when you're eating in for £20 ??
Service non existent, collection of coffee required as was the food order which was shouted out for collection. One member of staff totally ignored me, the other two were indifferent at best.
Toilets do exist, but not signed anywhere. You have to prove you're a customer before they tell you how they are hidden behind a 'Private' sign.
We got two takeaway pizzas and a cheesy garlic bread pizza from here to eat in the tiki bar next door. The pizza was really tasty with the right amount of base sauce and cheese. Well cooked without being overdone. Very yummy. Sensibly priced to at £9.50 for the pizzas and £8.50 for the garlic bread.
Really lovely quaint cafe. Emporium to explore. Has really nice choice of seating both indoors, outdoors plus outdoors in the shade. Lady serving us was very helpful. Relaxed ambience will definitely visit again.
Nice cappuccino, interesting location and decor. Slightly chaotic as the main chef had just gone off ill but would definitely return.
