If I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would! The experience was phenomenal! I would definitely recommend Shayla to do your hair. The atmosphere of the salon was very welcoming and the prices are great. Shayla is very knowledgeable with everything hair and left me feeling like a whole new person walking out. I will definitely be coming back to her as a regular ❤️

Very clean and welcoming atmosphere! They treat you like royalty here!!! I am always greeted by very friendly staff and offered refreshments (water/lemonade/tea/etc.)! The little head massages at the bowl also help keep you feeling like royalty! Whenever I get my hair done here it has always turned out amazing! And I have never had any complaints! They do great work for the price!! I couldn’t recommend this place enough, I make the 30 min drive just to go here and it’s always worth it! It’s the best hair salon in the twin cities area!!!
I highly recommend Shayla or Alli for great haircuts and any and all of your hair dying needs, but all of the staff here are amazing!!!!
I am so happy to have found Trendi and Gabby! She always takes good care of me. Today, I had so many inches cut off and went for a slight A line haircut. She nailed it! Captured exactly what I was looking for! Thank you! Letting all my gray show off.
I absolutely loved this place! I’m from out of town and needed a touch up, so decided to try them out. Kirstin was simply amazing. She was so kind and gave me exactly what I wanted within my price range. Plus they have really cute jewelry for $10 or less- such a steal!
Would not hesistate to recommend this place to others. Might be the best salon experience I’ve ever had!
I have been going to see Kirstin at Trendi Salon and Spa for five (!) years now and she is an absolute gem. She is positive, bubbly and personable. She wants to know what you envision with your hair and will make those dreams come true. She doesn't let you get in the way of what will look good, though! I have always left feeling more like myself after she's worked her magic. The rest of the salon has a welcoming atmosphere and everyone is always so friendly. Definitely one of the best salons I've ever gone to and I highly recommend it.
I always have such a great experience at Trendi salon. Every person I meet there is polite, kind, and welcoming. I have been seeing Alli for over a year now, and she always gives me great cuts. She also has worked with me on coloring and I appreciate how she offers her insight while still listening to what I want. I highly recommend Alli and am happy to refer friends and family her way, as well.
Booked with Crystal, who was very gracious about my same day appt and that I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted. A great experience after foregoing a professional haircut for 10 years. She was very sweet and did a wonderful job on my silly little head.
I really want to love Trendi Salon and Spa and there are many nice things about it. The staff is lovely and I liked both of the stylists I worked with there as people--both were super pleasant and chatty. However, this is the second time I have come in with pretty definitive ideas about the color I wanted and not gotten it. The first time I got highlights and was looking for a reddish tone and the stylist gave me a very yellow caramel that looked atrocious with my skin as soon as I stepped out into natural light. Ok, that happens. I went back a couple days later for a retone which improved it but still wasn't the copper red I wanted.
I decided to give them another try and brought specific reference pictures, showing three examples of exactly what I was looking for. Rather than toning, the stylist did a full color that was a very deep mahogany color. I specifically asked if my highlights would absorb the color differently so they would be lighter like in the pictures--she said yes. So I went ahead with it. In the shop I couldn't really see the lighter parts but again assumed it was due to indoor lighting issues. When I got home I was shocked to see my hair was almost black with very slight red tones! I am very fair and it was quite stark. This was a Friday, I had some pictures coming up the next week. I know the company policy is that they guarantee their work and I could have tried to get back in but 1.) I had a deadline and very limited time and 2.) I frankly didn't trust their work after my second experience not getting what I wanted. My hair is fragile from newly growing in after chemo and I didn't trust them to be gentle after the other negative experiences--bleaching, coloring, bleaching, and toning is a lot on baby hairs. So I went elsewhere and got exactly what I wanted.
I did call and ask if it was possible to get a refund, even partial, or perhaps a gift card for a cut at a later date. The owner called me back after my initial conversation with a receptionist (but after my appointment at a different place) and refused any kind of refund or certificate. Which I understand, but I was hoping given the circumstances they would be understanding. It was overall a pretty disappointing experience. If you are looking for a specific color, especially if you are looking for reds, I can't recommend. I'm now out $200+ for service that didn't achieve what I wanted. It was also very expensive. The stylist colored my hair first and then cut off a significant amount of length, meaning she charged me for an extra bowl of dye when she would have needed less if she had cut off to the correct length first. Lesson learned. I ended up at Signature Salon with Mandee and got what I wanted for a comparable price.
