Went for Christmas night out , had given an order of food choices .
Our table had ordered 8 Cheesecakes as dessert , they came and said no cheesecake and it was first come , first served .
I explained this wasn't acceptable as with pre orders they knew how much was needed .
They came with Trifles which weren't even one of the choices.
Not good enough and very rudely dealt with by their staff .
Fab Sunday lunch. The roast beef dinner especially good! Make sure you take cash, as they don't accept card payment.
Drink prices are good, Sunday dinner comes with just one slice of meat, although you can pay extra for one more slice, so very expensive compared to pubs throughout RCT.
Had a wake here after a funeral, and the staff was lovely.
One of my favourite venues to entertain over the years.
Good club. Nice big bar with snooker room, Nice size hall & lounge upstairs. Alslo lovely room at back upstairs which used to be (maybe still is) a restaurant. Never eaten there but always had good feedback about it in the past. Fair size car park. Takeaway opposite.
Called in for dinner on Sunday, lovely meal, plenty of it too. Would have been 5 stars if they had a bar open upstairs
My dad says this is the best pub in the land!! Always singing, plenty of 'jolly boys outings' and a good spread for the OAPs that go to Thursday club. If it's good enough for big Ron then it's good enough for everyone
