This was a last-minute reservation because another steakhouse could not accommodate us being a little late. The room is extremely large, but by 6:30 the entire place was packed so I was grateful they could accommodate us. The only slight negative in this dining experience was that I felt like the whole place was very dark inside and when the room got full, it was extremely loud. However, the steaks were incredible and perfectly cooked and all of the other Dishes were amazing as well. Our server Paul was excellent - professional and attentive - a great dinner overall! Highly recommend

I want to love Tony’s but for my husband and I the steaks just miss the mark. I like the bar and it’s a great place to have a corporate event, but the normal dining area is so loud it’s hard to hear the others at your table. They have amazing crab cakes highly recommend getting those. Full bar serves excellent mixed drinks. We just can’t endorse the steaks.
After PGA, we moved to Lexington for the night. So glad we made reservations a month ahead. Everyone was so friendly & accommodating. The steaks were incredible and so delicious. It is a must to try Tony’s if you’re in town. The bar area is a little loud. But the piano player made it much better!
Tony’s of Lexington is a tradition with every year we will splurge at least once and have a perfect over the top meal. This year we choose our anniversary. I always do my reviews as comparisons in the same style of restaurant, so the rating is based on this being what I consider the best traditional steak house I’ve eaten at.
The food was spot on, everything was first bite “ Oh my God Wow that’s good” kind of experience. My wife’s steak was perfect and tender even though she orders them well. How they keep the meat that tender at that temperature is beyond me. The sides were great and hearty, try a couple most of them travel well.
The true experience at this restaurant is the above and beyond service and more importantly the pride they take in themselves as service professionals and in their restaurant. They are committed in and it shows.
Only thing that didn’t come as expected, but wasn’t a bad thing was the lack of the orange garnish (whether peel or slice) on my Negroni. First time I’ve seen that, don’t know if it is a thing or not. That being said the drink was perfect and strong.
We had a wonderful time with absolutely amazing food and service. My fillet was cooked to perfection. Anne had sea bass that burst with flavor. The atmosphere was nice. We could carry on a conversation with ease. Of course the wine helped. Hugh had a ribeye steak that would have taken me 2 days to eat. It was probably 22 ozs. Our family style veggies were mouth watering too.
If you haven’t eaten at Tony’s it is worth the price of admission. The appetizer and side portions are big enough for 4 people to share. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The service was very attentive. Valet parking was convenient. You can tell they pride themselves on delivering an upscale experience. Would recommend 10 out of 10
very good service, very nice place, the balet parking is a gem. but... the tables and chairs are too crowded, the high benches are so "uncomfortable", I didn't like the food, I'm sorry... my salad was tasteless, my dish was very "beaten", you couldn't even see the shrimp, these themselves were dry. and the rest a bit salty. It's not bad, but it's not good, much less surprising, I can't say "I want to go back to eat such a thing. I tried several of my friends' dishes and none of them surprised me.
Everything was almost perfect. I visited here for my birthday last night and the food was awesome, the service was fast and courteous, and the atmosphere was just right. We ordered too much food and took a ton home for leftovers. The only complaint I have is that I wish they put the sauces that came with the dishes in the Togo containers. We paid extra for those and I barely got to enjoy that part of the meal. They didn’t even put the steak side that I only ate a bite of in the box and that was the part I was excited for. But I made my own. Lol.
