Friendly employees, quirky old Town vibes, and a decent sub! Toppings aren't your typical mayo, mustard, and lettuce, but rather diced tomatoes, diced onions, and relish. Reminds me of hot dog toppings. Sub roll was soft, chewy, and tasted fresh. Bring cash as they charge to use a card.
I just got pick up for the first time here. The produce in the sandwich is awful! It’s chopped up tomatoes and more center of romaine lettuce than leaves. They also stuff the meat in the roll then top it with the produce. I am completely disappointed in wasting money here.
This place has been a staple of Citrus Heights for decades! Brings back memories of diners from the old days! Great service, great food and great atmosphere! Hope this place stays for decades more to come ????
I enjoyed a walk down memory lane with my mom and aunt eating delicious subs at Tony Baloney's!! My aunt used to come here in the 80's when she was a student at ARC, and I used to work across the street back in the day when it was a Kinko's! Tony Baloney's did not let us down. The sandwich was everything I remember, the smell, the taste, the crunch of the toasted roll. We had their pastrami (best pastrami around!) and the pepper steak subs. Tony's wife and daughter were working hard to do right by this Sacramento staple. They are celebrating 60 years of fabulousness! If you've never been, go....if it's been a while, you need to revisit. Keep up the great work!!
A family-owned restaurant that specializes in making various sandwiches that include the most delicious pastrami with potatoes and fresh salad. They also have types of pizza with distinct home-made flavors and taste. I recommend visiting it whenever the opportunity arises, especially for those who want to feel the family atmosphere
The Italian Coldcut Sandwich with Tomatoes, onions, provolone, Salami and other meats, relish, and oi and vinegar dressing was fantastic. Pepper Steak was good. Going to try the Italian Sausage sandwich next time.
Cannoli was good.
Great service by the Waitress and the owner!
Prices $$, but got 2 meals out of a large sandwich.
Our Ladies group goes there every month to play bunco. Each of us also goes with our families many times. We feel like the family and staff are family and love going there. Rita
Service and atmosphere were great.
My husband ordered a turkey sandwich for me to go, when he got home and I opened the sub it was covered in a weird raw white onion and tomato salad. It ruined the sandwich and I was trying to remember if the menu says what comes on the sandwich and I didn’t see a “raw onions and tomatoes” on the menu… huge chunks of raw white onion was so off putting I took a bite and threw it away bc it was also drenched in oil. The bread wasn’t anything special and the meat was whatever.
Husband got a meatball sub - the bread was soggy, the cheese was just a glob of goo, sauce was flavorless and he said the meatball itself was ok. He ate half and threw the rest of it away bc it was off putting.
My husband said this place used to be awesome so it was very disappointing to see it’s gone down hill.
