First time there. One waitress handling most of the customers. Went there for the All you can eat catfish special. Good value...$20.99 and includes potato, vegetable and unlimited soup and salad bar. One soup was Chili and it was amazingly good. I guess that's why I only got one bowl and they never refilled the pot. Salad bar was very OK. Catfish was also very OK. Can't say it was bad, but didn't live up to the recommendation I received to drive 20 miles to get there.
We were discussing where to go to eat before we went to a local brewery, and I was looking for a place near the water that I had read about. I couldn't find it so I suggested going here. After all, we pass this place all the time.
We pulled in and there were only two cars in the parking lot. Wife was leary but I thought it was 530 and it's before the rush. We went in and they had a pork steak dinner special. We both decided on that (I mean, $13 can't be beat) and we were not disappointed!
Thanks for sticking around and, if you're traveling or a local, make sure you support them. They may not have lake view, but that gets old after a bit. They may not have the party vibe, but that gets old after a bit. But taste of food never gets old if it's done well. We will be back again!
Good salad, cabbage soup was also very good, the blackened grouper sandwich was so delicious, great service and the waitress was very friendly.
Gross! Fish didn't come close to tasting like fish and it was soggy and one piece didn't look like it was cooked long enough. So called salad bar.... The salad, oh there wasn't enough for both my hubby and I to have but a spoon full which was all you could eat cause the lettuce was slimy and not many sides to put on your salad. The fish didn't taste even remotely like fish and the corn tasted the same as the fish. Fries were good but they cost us $50. Won't go there again or recommend it to a dog. We're just hoping we don't get sick. Neither one of us finished the meal. The room was cold so we had to wear our coats during the meal.
Nice place, had lunch. I ordered a baked potato it was good. The person I was with order burger and fries. She loved it. Fries were a large portion and she said they we're the best that's had on a long time and she loved the burger too! It was during the week so not real busy.
Great family diner next to the state park. Catfish sandwich was done very well. Kids loved their choices of grilled cheese and egg plate.
Huge burger very tasty and great salad bar nice and fresh
Nice little place, it's a bit deceiving. The outside reminds me of a campground. The food was good. My rueben was very good my friend had the big Tonka burger and it was big. I'd definitely stop by again
