Very poor quality yet very overpriced. Frozen McCains chips and Powdered gravy. Spend an extra 5 minutes traveling to the chip shops locally in the town and get real value for your money. It’s Haven being greedy, save your money!
Thornwick Bay, Fish and chips. AVOID AT ALL COST. Two weeks ago, I ordered cod and chips, my wife, ordered chicken strips and chips. First thing, the guy behind the counter couldn’t hear our order. Because the music they were playing was too loud. My wife asked if you could turn it down so you could hear us. which he did. The only thing what was on show was the chips. However he went out the back to get the fish. He dipped it in batter and apologise that the batter was a bit thin when he put it in the fryer. The so-called fish curled up it was so thin, it was untrue. He went out the back and got an another bit of fish. I realised this fish was frozen. The same thing happened again he put it in the fryer and it coiled up like a ring when he put it into the dish which was about 7 or 8 inches long, he laid them crossways which you would of thought the fish would lay longways in the dish, but they were two very thin fish. The chips wasn’t bad, but we only got one portion where we asked for two he started arguing with us saying you only ordered one, but when we placed our order, he repeated the order back to us one portion of chicken, strips and chips and cod and chips. So be aware order your food in or go to the Viking pub as you turn left out of the camp. They do fantastic food.
We popped in here for a snack, had cheesy chips a large portion of chicken nuggets ???? and a gherkin! ????
There was a wait, circa 20 minutes, but when the food came it was tasty and nice. Staff were great and asked the right question at handover "do you want salt and vinegar on your chips" ????
Well, where do I start.
Over 40 minutes to wait for this.
£56 for 4 very small portion of not very nice fish and chips. £1.99 for a quarter filled very small pot of curry sauce, then when you take it back you get accused of using it half of it. ( I asked and got a refund on the sauce)The staff half one speed that's slow verging on stop. The bloke who appeared to be in control but not had the people skills of a wasp, very rude.
Can safely say will definitely not be going there again.
As people say go venture out and get them from some where else.
Lesson learnt.
£9 for a very small fish. Rip off. We were all left hungry which never happens with fish and chips. Better off going to the ones in town.
Tbh I don't get why so many negative reviews.....ITS A CHIPPY.... also what more do people want than chip shop service..... and many that actually buy from there don't take the 2 mins walk to order directly at the shop its self they order via table service so have to then join a delivery wait.... I went in tonight and the 2 young men couldn't do more to help conversation friendly faces and just wonderful people..... from a very happy customer THANK YOU
3 lads behind bar just chatting told half hour wait for sausages lol.... When. Got. It. Was over cooked the outside was like. A. Stone...
Communication was terrible

Delicious, freshly cooked Cod to order , lovely chips and the best curry sauce we've had in a long while. Helpful friendly service. Highly recommended ☆☆☆☆☆ Thankyou
