This is a very cosy and traditional pub. It has a wonderful warm atmosphere. It's a favourite of ours and I'd highly recommend it.
What a lovely place with charming and kind people, stunning views, they supplied me with free ice to take back to the B&B and then tried to give me free drinks on Christmas and I am not a local, what lovely people, we will go back again, highly recommended!
Friendly staff, interesting building and a very well stocked bar. The only thing that spoilt my stay was a low rumbling I could hear constantly. At first I thought this was due to a generator switched on outside but after investigating found the noise - which was louder than the road on a wet day! - was coming from the Horseshoe chip shop / restaurant opposite! I am.planning to stay here again in December so I hope the chip shop's fan is fixed by then!
Best pub I’ve ever been to! I’ve never been to a pub anywhere in the world where the locals have been so friendly & chilled. The bartender who served me was helluva nice too!

We only had drinks here. Really good service and a fantastic choice of drinks , no wait at bar, despite being absolutely rammed. Friendly staff and locals.
My partner and I went the the restaurant part for our anniversary dinner. The bar staff were fantastic and exceedingly friendly.
There was a man named Matthew, who previously ran a cocktail bar in Leicester, that would happily be shown a recipe for cocktails or mocktails and make it for you if they had the ingredients needed.
Food was served quickly and they were large portions and very tasty. Good atmosphere and a fab evening.
I would definitely recommend this place.
