Real community hub run by people who understand their customers. Great atmosphere, and lots of things always going on. Also very good beer! They don't do food but that doesn't detract from our visit. Recovered well from the recent fire, very clean, tidy pub. In my top 5 for lovely clean loos!
Had the function room with a small buffet for my Grandaughters birthday pamper party. Absolutely lovely. Claire Lea was amazing, the staff friendly and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.
I went to this place a few days ago and was disgraced with the level of service. I was served by a woman with short hair who looked uninterested and acted like she didn’t want to be there. I felt very unwelcomed which is disheartening as I thought I would give this pub ago. Safe to say I will not be returning!
Best community pub in Tamworth. Both friendly and welcoming. Landlady hosts many family events for free throughout the year.
It's very much an "estate" pub. We looked around and half of it appeared to be closed. We didn't fancy going into the bar where the real drinkers were so we came away. We didn't try food or service so can't comment.
Claire with her staff have made this pub one of the best around. Always a welcome by all that use the Shanter. Clean and always tidy pub with good prices, pool,darts and dominoes. It as its own football team. Used by families that want a party with a good sized garden with sand pit. Very highly recommended for a quick pint or meeting ????
First time i have been in for years. The place as changed and its for the better. Clare and her staff make you very welcome. I was only there for a wake but i would go again
