Great outdoor bar and grill. Outdoor seating was fabulous. The big screen tv is perfect for game days. Our server Amber was awesome and we had a very large party of about 20 over 4 hours.
Loved going to this place for Gator fans. Good burgers and cute decor with lots of historic photos of Florida Gator teams.
We went on a Monday after football season so it was pretty dead, but clean, and I got one of their souvenir tees.
Totally Dog Friendly establishment. Dont be suprised to find a dog pulled up to the bar!!
Adriana brought a water bowl right away! She went out of her way to make sure we both were taken care of! Great service!

Deffinatley a cool patio for sports. 1 TV outside that is the size of a movie screen!

Swamp is great! I’ve ordered the Freshman 15 burger (no jalapeños) twice now and it is so good. I love an egg on a burger, so I’m already biased, but this is a delicious burger. They use a slightly sweet maple bacon that really ties everything together. Plus, the restaurant has lots of great Gators stuff inside.
Easily the best place to grab a bite with friends after class. Clean, good service and a large outdoor screen to watch games. Loved all of it!

We have been here twice, and both were very good! They make a great hamburger, the Freshman 15, and their brunch options, like the Bourbon French Toast, are superb. The waitresses here are highly attentive and kind. The atmosphere is quite homey and exudes a college town feel, yet feels as if it belongs in a small town. Overall, this restaurant is one of the best in Gainesville, and is a great place to have a burger and their salads and fries a awesome!
Super fun place. Great food for a college bar. Just wish they had a sign on outside tables saying see host for service. Multiple servers walked by us and didn't say a word. I ended up going in to find out what was going on which was fine but a server could have just greeted us and taken care of it instead of ignoring us. No signs to say see host at all. Didn't even know they had a host stand because we walked straight outside.
New Swamp certainly doesn't have the location or soul of the original location, but I'd say it's done a good job becoming its own place and I've never had a bad experience here. The food is very good by bar food standards but definitely not the main focus. That would be the drinks and social spaces. New Swamp has lots of great areas to sit around with your friends and watch sports, The Bachelor, or whatever is on. They also run some great deals, including BOGO beer pitchers on Friday afternoons from 3 - 5 or 6 (Only in a college town) and mimosa specials on Sunday. Overall, New Swamp is a great place to go hang out with your friends if you don't want to go somewhere as chaotic as a club or as tight as an older bar like Salty Dog.
