My friend and I had a delightful experience at "The Smiling Dog" one evening. Upon entering, we were greeted by a clean and spacious atmosphere, setting the perfect stage for a relaxing night out. The drinks were not only reasonably priced but also remarkably delicious, a testament to the skill of the bartenders who were warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. Despite not sitting directly at the bar, the staff made sure to check in on us regularly, ensuring our needs were met. For those seeking entertainment, there are pool tables and darts available, making it an ideal spot for quality time with friends or family. Although we didn't sample the food this time around, I'm eager to return and explore their menu further. Update: I've been here soo many times now, my kids love it too. My son had a birthday dinner here with his friends. Outside sitting area is great. Drinks are delicious, they have a burger night and the desserts are 10/10

Food was pretty good not 100% worth the money BUT the service was sooo good! They were very accommodating with my dog and brought us a full water bowl as we sat down. Server Devin was fantastic. He was very attentive and was a joy.
Passed through while traveling and stopped here by chance because it said dog friendly. I happened to have my pup with me. The patio may be small, but the food is amazing, and the vibes were great. I went for lunchtime, so it was dead, but my service was great. I will definitely stop by again next time I'm in the area.
Great lunch specials. Fish & chips were excellent! Chocolate Toffee Mousse cake was delicious. Service was great and very nice. Will definitely be back!
Best fish and chips in Baton Rouge. Then crisp tempura-like coating on the fish, which is nice and thick.
The atmosphere inside is a little on the dark side for my particular taste, but I believe it's aimed at appearing more like an English pub. They do have an outdoor patio area in the front, you can bring your doggie with you on a leash to eat with you if you want.
They have a lunch menu that is still filling and very tasty. The fish and chips on lunch menu is about half the size of the dinner portion - but still plenty to fill you up. The dinner portion is obscenely large ????
Very friendly staff. One of these days I'm going to have to try something else on their menu. Whenever I am in the mood for fish, it's my go-to place and I can't seem to pass up their fish and chips to try their burgers or other things on their menu LOL
