Good enough food at a decent enough price. This is to say that the food is not what your grandma cooked. However, it is so much better to give our hard earned dollars to proprietors rather than investors (such as the M of the chicken sandwich place). Go and eat at this place and order the dessert!!
Ate here for breakfast. I got the country Benedict and the biscuits and gravy were exactly what I wanted. The pancake my friend ordered looked to be perfectly crispy and filled the whole plate. Melissa was such a good waitress and even took our group photo at the end. Cash is king here as they offer a 3.5% discount for those who pay cash

We ordered a three meat omelet, hashbrowns, bacon, eggs over easy, a Belgium waffle, Pozole w/ flour tortillas & a hot green tea.
EVERYTHING was so fresh!! The Pozole was amazingly delicious, the mixture of hominy & chorizo was a perfect combination. The hash browns were cooked perfectly along with the other sides.
My favorite was the Belgium waffle! I'm not a huge fan of bananas, but the thickness of the cuts complimented the waffle well. The fresh blueberries took the waffle beyond what my pallet was prepared for. Rose's is a must stop if you're in Pagosa Springs.
Great local spot for some grub. I had the ham and apple panini and it did not disappoint! Unique blend of flavors that is light but filling. Love their big coffee mugs. Service was superb. Lots of people and you’ll probably be waiting in line if you don’t go early. That’s the only downside! Don’t bother driving, just walk from wherever you happen to be staying.
This is an amazing small time country cafe. We were seated immediately and served in quick fashion. We ordered the country fried steak and eggs as well as the corned beef hash and eggs. Both come out perfectly. The gravy was a very traditional country white gravy with a generous helping of pepper. The eggs on both orders cooked perfectly. My only complaint was the cost as both cost about $19ech but what can you expect from a small town mom and pop shop. I would go here again!!
This is a great cute breakfast spot! Split the country eggs Benedict and it was so good! The blueberry pancake was the best I had ever! Lots of blueberries, and the edges were crispy. It was amazing.
Food was good! doesnt look so appealing but taste good. Small breakfast restaurant with long wait.
I'm not sure why this place has such good reviews. I had the Pagosa Toast which is Texas toast dipped in pancake batter. I was excited to try something new, but this had no flavor at all; it literally just tasted like a thick pancake. My friend had the breakfast BLT and she said it was pretty average. The service wasn't any better - we were told that it would just be a "couple of minutes!" until we could be seated. Well, 25 minutes passed and there were 3 clean tables, and still, no one came to seat us. Overall, it was average eats with subpar service. The restaurant itself was cute, but I would choose a different breakfast place next time.
