????️ Had a fantastic dinner at the old deli!! I ordered the chicken with black pudding and I can’t put into words how DELICIOUS it was!! Just what I needed today. The flavors were really unique and tasty but it felt like a meal cooked at home!

We had breakfast there twice as this is one of the two places in the village that open quite early. The whole place is very nice and the staff very friendly. They have a good selection of cakes which I regret not trying out but I done usual eat sweets that early.
The breakfast menu was ok. Typical dishes you find everywhere for breakfast in Scotland. Very good coffee. I was a bit disappointed from the avocado toast as it was very plain and dry. I would suggest to add a fried egg in the whole dish. Overall it was ok.
The owner is extremely rude and came to our table to basically scold us for not being impressed by the terribly tasteless and dry sandwich we had been served. It was an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere and you can tell the staff are frightened of the owner. No background music/radio playing for a bit of ambience. It’s a shame really as the high street is dying and this looked to be one of the very few decent places to go. I guess they survive on passing trade, however we do go this way regularly for long weekends and will not be passing through here again.
Absolute vibe killer and the food is to be honest extremely basic and tasteless. The coffee was okay. Bread was dry and the cheese slice looked plastic. Garnish and everything overall was lacking. Salad definitely unwashed and out of a bag. Just no effort and not worth the money at all. I’ve attached a pic of my sandwich then the “kids” sandwich. Apparently the owner was insulted as it’s “ good quality bread” . No other comments regarding everything else. Just that she stands by this bread! Lol wouldn’t recommend.
Great place, great food, great atmosphere! The staff were really friendly here and happy to assist. The hot drinks were really nice too. Nice stop off place in Fort William whilst we were heading further up north
While we ate here because it was the only place open earlier in the morning, it was one of the best breakfasts we had. It did get pretty crowded quickly, so I recommend getting there early since you need a table to order, but we were able to get seated right away. The staff were all great!
We ordered a few cappuccinos, the blueberry and bacon pancakes, a breakfast roll, and some berry tea. It came out relatively quick and was delicious. We ended up going back for a second time later in our trip, too.

We went to the old deli on April 4th at around 9am. We stopped here to get a protein heavy breakfast before hiking Steall waterfall. I got a cappuccino which was delicious and my husband got a hot cocoa which I also tasted and was delicious. (Beware it was dark chocolate hot chocolate!) we then SHARED a traditional Scottish breakfast. I recommend doing so as this was a lot of food. The general staff were nice and the general aesthetic was really modern and cute!
Double espresso was bitter and when we added the “hot” milk we ordered on the side, the coffee was tepid. Menu is boring. Sandwiches were very average. We “ordered” a sparkling water and when it wasn’t delivered with the coffee, we asked for it only to be told THEN that we needed to get it ourselves from the fridge. Not good service. Rather nervous.
