Best KPortal Reviews
The usual Wetherspoon with good food but sticky tables.
My advice for customers in case you pay by card, get table and order through the app. It will save you time in a queue at the bar and you will get your food and drinks served to you to the table.
Improvement required by staff: please clean the tables regularly, they are so sticky, they need a good wipe.
Photos attached for katsu carry (so delicioussssss!), fish and chips and limited Korean burger. They also have great pizza (no photo this time).
Always a very nice dining experience at this pub. Lovely food, delicious desserts and reasonably priced. It was slightly busier than unusual but that didn't affect the service. Bar staff are friendly and helpful.
DANGER: FOOD POISONING

I am updating this review after vomiting and not being able to sleep due to nausea that lasted for hours.
I had dinner on the night prior to this. I am never eating there again.

- No air conditioning. The place is hot and sticky during summer.
- The lighting in this pub is getting dimmer and dimmer because nobody replaces the lights that are either broken and need replacing.
- Dirty tables and chairs.
Same problems as always: Lazy managers, who are always absent, have no intention of fixing such problems.
Unfortunately they are not ready for that conversation.

Two stars for the positives.
- The drinks are good.
- The food is good.
Knocked off three stars for the following reasons:
The staff are awful. Poorly trained and rude.
There is always new staff here who don't know what they are doing. They never seem to know what drinks to serve.
I'm a regular here. I know what drinks I order for my friends as well as for myself. So whenever I ask for a certain drink they always say "We don't serve that." That's rubbish. Yet they insist that such a drink doesn't exist. This is when I request to speak to the manager since he is more informed of the drinks than the staff. The manager has to intervene to deal with something simple. This has happened several times now. It's ridiculous.
This is because the managers are so lazy they don't bother to train their staff properly.
Poorly trained staff leads to poor customer service.
Sort yourselves out.

Previously I used to be a regular here because the previous manager did a fantastic job of running this pub efficiently. But now that's no longer the case. Now that the previous manager is gone, whoever this new manager is, is abysmal.
The staff are rude. There is always new staff who are not trained and don't know what they are doing. They are so rude and lazy. Every time I order a certain drink their immediate response is "We don't sell that" and I have to remind them that they do. Whether it's a beer or a cider they claim they don't have it. My friends and I have been buying these drinks in this pub for years. It's clear they can't be bothered to get the drinks or keep the fridges stocked. They constantly complain to me that they have to go "all the way downstairs" to get it. This is not professional customer service. It's disgusting. I do NOT want to hear that when I go anywhere. I don't tolerate such bad attitude.
The service of the food has gone downhill too. As we know, the kitchen closes at 11pm. On two occasions my friends wanted to order some food even though it was before 11pm and the staff would say "No. The kitchen is closed." When in fact it wasn't. Due to such a response we had to complain to the manager who eventually made the staff take their orders. This is not one individual we're talking about here, it's every single staff member who start working here untrained and have the nerve to mistreat customers. Such rudeness from staff is unacceptable. The service has also slowed down. The lack of hospitality here is ruining this pub.
The place is dirty and needs tidying. Nearly every single time I come here there are tables that need cleaning even when the pub is not busy. Another clear indication of the lack of attention from the staff.
They need to sort themselves out because right now things need improving, quickly.
Visited here this evening and was quiet disappointed with the cleanliness of the venue. The bar was very untidy and by the looks of it hadn’t been wiped down for hours. Maybe short staffed but it wasn’t particularly busy. PED looked grimey too.
Dirty. Staff and management don't care. Lucky this is one of the pubs not closing, should be, and keep another site open. I visit a few spoons on a regular basis, this place has the least busiest bar, but yet place is a mess, nobody cleaning tables, tables not wiped, glasses/bottles everywhere on a lot of visits.
Nice meal, good food and drinks. All spoilt for me by the attitude of a security guard who spoke to me in appalling English to tell us we had to leave before 9 o'clock because my son was under 18. We still had plenty of time and his attitude was absolutely disgusting. Embarrassing for such a large chain.
With whetherspoons you almost always know what you're getting, very cheap prices but quality isn't great. I think this branch could do with some cleaning indoors, the lighting and colours have made it slightly dull and the people smoking out the front isn't great, the smell takes over a third of the way into the pub and as someone who is allergic to tobacco I've struggled to sit close to the doors. Tables are often sticky. But friendly staff and my favourite drink has been the marshmallow unicorn gin which is an absolute win, it has glitter! ????
Lovely pub, first time visit, busier than what Google times suggested, and was visiting this pub during the announcement of the Queen's death on the news. Eerie and ominous as Prince ???? Charles was named King whilst in the pub. Food yummy, drinks drinky.
