Attended a 50th birthday party. The function room was very nice. Hads it's own small stage, bar and toilets so you don't have to go in to the main pub. Street parking close by. Great location right in the centre of town. Very clean and tidy. Staff were lovely.
We are so lucky to have this venue right in the heart of the town. Mai made our 60th birthday crowd very welcome in the main function suite, which had everything we needed, and looking great after the refurbishment. Many thanks, fantastic memorable night
Was busy but bar staff went out of there way to say hi and said give them a minute they be with me and fair play she did great nite
Disappointed. Told to move off the 'carpet' with my pint as i may get the dancefloor wet. Why put laminate flooring down (for a dancefloor) in a pub. Gutted as we were really enjoying ourselves. Really nice place but fully of golden oldies with not mental state of change. You want to keep a business growing then you understand the need to modernize as business changes over the decades or you go under.
Just had a massive refurbishment. Have to say it's now the nicest pub in Newtown. Well worth a visit !
