Unbelievably good food. I had the Memphis style pork rib meal. The dry rub is perfect and delicious. Add the occasion dip of their homemade BBQ sauce for more perfection. The beans were homemade and had a light smoke flavor with some meat in it. The potato salad was unique and delicious as well. They take real pride in their food as they should. Some of the best bbq I had had in a long time…and I try a lot of them! Go treat yourself. Take out only
Incredible food! Best pulled pork sandwich and baby back ribs we have EVER eaten - and we are BBQ snobs. In addition, the candied yams, corn muffins, coleslaw, and collard greens were also off the charts delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try some other dishes. Everything packaged with care (it’s takeout only right now). Hard working duo at this restaurant- everything is homemade! Only open Thursday- Sunday so note the limited hours. They deserve our support. Let’s keep this treasured gem alive!!
Good service nice people ! But the food was not that good . Dry brisket and pulled pork. As someone who was born and raised in the south this bbq is mediocre at best. Candied yams are on point and so is the sweet tea. Wouldn't come here again personally, way better bbq spots in the valley. Worth a try I reckon.
Went here for the first time today. We tried the, Brisket, Tri-tip, Ribs, Potatoes salad, Mac and cheese, and BBQ beans. Everything was delicious, and that BBq is amazing. The cornbread muffins, was crazy good. Thank you for my amazing dinner.
There was a 1 hour wait, but I love around the corner. And boy was it worth it. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Definitely my new go to bbq joint. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.
Ordered 2 meat combo meal that comes with two sides and a cornbread biscuit. Meats selected were brisket and pulled pork and the garlic mashed potatoes and mac & cheese as the sides. One of the best tasting barbecue places in all of Los Angeles if not all of Southern California. Barbecue sauce was phenomenal especially with how tender all the meats were. Sides were incredibly delicious which can often be an afterthought at some barbecue restaurants. Prices are reasonable within the $18-30 range depending on what you are ordering. Overall, it is worth making the drive to this joint in North Hollywood.
Called in ahead of time and food took 30 minutes, so I'm happy I called. There isn't seating available yet, so it's all take away. Service was very friendly on phone and in person. Overall I enjoyed it and will be going back. The brisket, pulled pork, and ribs were all great. Juicy, tender meats and flavorful sauces on the side. The beans, corn muffins, and potato salad were nothing special but they were good. Everything was a good temperature. I'll definitely be going back for the meats.
If you’re hungry, I suggest going somewhere else or get ready to spend big. My boyfriend and I have never been so disappointed with BBQ in LA until this one. My combo order of 1 meat and 2 sides was only 1 slice of brisket… His was 3 meats and 2 sides and only had 1 slice/piece of each meat. Not worth the $53 I paid for
We’re not expecting massive portions like in all the other states or cities known for their BBQ. But FFS put some more meat on the place like a real Memphis BBQ meal!!
