Best KPortal Reviews

Probably one of the best kept secrets in the county. Either that or nobody told me about this place.
If you've never heard of the lovely village of Ashendon, The Hundred is a reason to visit. A small lane opens to the venue on your right with parking within view of the outside seating area. The place has plenty of character and the staff greet you like you've been coming there for years.
If you're unfamiliar with any of items on the menu, the staff happily explain everything and it's no trouble at all. The pickled mackerel starter was excellent. The duck legs with peas and bacon was simply magnificent. How they sunk so much flavour into those peas I'll never know. Then there was the Featherblade... Rich, succulent and melt in your mouth tender ????.
Everything in just the right proportions with excellent timing to match. Dessert would've been an overindulgence and thus will be sampled on the next visit. Ended the evening in outdoor seating next to the apple tree.
Went back to compliment the chef and staff on a job well done. Great place!!
A comfortable bed and breakfast, only 20 minutes from Bicester and 5 minutes away from Waddesdon Manor.
Fabulous spot for delicious British fayre and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was cooked to order and just as delightful (included in the room cost). Highly recommend the freshly made madeleines (15 minute wait).
Staff were super friendly and made us feel at home.
Downside - The pub is noisy in the evenings and note the twin room only has a bath (no shower facility). The track down is narrow and if there is no parking available, then there is a parking area at the top of the road.
Excellent Sunday lunch, food was delicious, service was great, beer lovely and all done extremely safely. £150 for 4 including wine. Great value. Will be back soon. Thank you.
Such a beautiful pub, delicious Michelin quality food, the care the staff and chef show is superb. Try the damson in distress cocktail, so yummy.
Almost a four rating, but I had the famous steak and fries and was disappointing. The steak was tough and under seasoned and the aioli was very very strong with garlic. Overall an enjoyable experience, my partner loved his fish and the Lebanese red wine was delicious.
Went for a Sunday lunch after a nice walk. Food was really nice and the staff were all super friendly.
Glorious day at Hundred it Ashendon - great food, great service and a lovely spot to enjoy a meal with family
Lovely pub in a lovely location with friendly staff. Perfect location for what we had planned during our 2 night stay.
Limited choice on the food menu but we were warned in advance that this was because of staff holidays.
There was still good quality bar food available and the breakfast was very good.
Pleasant atmosphere for a drink with good beers etc on offer.
The only negative I would give is there could be more comfortable seating in the outside areas when the weather is good.
We would definitely return again.
