In a word: DISGUSTING.
There was more vegetables than noodles and meat in the chow mein and the noodles were like hairs they were that thin. The ‘crispy’ shredded beef was anything but crispy and was covered in an oily brown water substance that was the opposite end of the scale when it comes to a sauce. The only thing that was edible was the chicken fried rice and the chips, the rest went in the bin and now we’re waiting for pizza.
Avoid this place at all costs, you’ll only be as disappointed as I am and you’ll hate yourself for not listening to me.
Friendly staff but the food was awful. Our usual chinese is closed on a Tuesday so thought we'd try here. The battered chicken balls were inedible, rock hard chicken yet raw undercooked batter. Salt and pepper chips had no flavour and the satay sauce was tastless and nothing like any other satay sauces we've had. The sweet and sour chicken was ok although chicken texture wasn't the best.
Awful food. Chicken balls were hard, chicken chow mein dry & tasted of cold fat. Prawn toast was revolting! Rang to complain we couldn't eat it, the lady said ok it was cooked fresh no problem?? No apology or refund. Waste of £30 odd quid
No idea what's happening to this place. The chips are like warm up been in twice in the last two weeks and had to throw the chips away disgusting warm ups .chow mein noodles are lovely and always order then .going to give the place a miss from now on .sorry ????

tonight I had salt and pepper chicken pieces with egg fried rice and curry sauce..
The chicken pieces were deep fried and in my opinion re- heated in a microwave so much so that the chicken was dried out, stringy and inedible.
Absolutely awful !
It ended up in the bin and I won't be visiting again.
Previously have enjoyed this takeaway under the previous owners but the new people need to seriously improve or their business will go downhill fast
I have been visiting this place for years and have always loved the food. I have recommended happy valley to many people over the years and I have always had positive feedback about the quality of the food. I hadn’t been here for a couple of months and decided to go last night. I ordered all my usual favourites and when I got home with my food and was excited to dig in, unfortunately this is when it became apparent the food had changed for the worse. Some of the food was cold, the ribs where terrible and mostly fat and the overall flavour was not good. In all the years I have been going here this is the first time I’ve had a bad meal. I hear there are new owners. I hope they quickly realize the reason this place was always popular was because of the great food and make a change asap.
Dreadful. Rank texture and no flavour to the beef curry, chips and rice. Salt and pepper chicken pretty dire too. Won't be visiting again.
