We enjoyed an early dinner at the Combination and we’re delighted with the quality of the food. The service was friendly and the facility was clean. Neat old building. We got the grilled salmon which was done excellently, we were a little concerned at first with the crispy outside but then realized quickly once we cut into it that the chef knew how to cook salmon properly. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was excellent; however the fried was too much for me and took away from the flavor of the excellent sauce and pimento cheese- so next time I’ll ask for it grilled. Kid was happy too. All in all, a quality place- especially for our area, and with fair prices. Enjoy!
Armadillo eggs were amazing, Fried pickles amazing, the Cuban sandwich delicious!
Very unique and cute restaurant. Cool historical items, food was delicious, milkshakes were delicious, came out fast and extremely friendly staff. Highly recommend the potato skins!
They have a very wide selection of tasty appetizers and entrées. The flavor and temperature of the food is great. And their attentive service is second to none!
Zeek the owner, his family and workers were outstanding. Food was really good. I had the ribeye and man was it good. Can't say enough about how friendly and how they made us feel like they really cared and wanted us there. If I could give six stars, I would.
Waitress was very rude. I ordered the Mac and cheese as a side to my burger and it was just wet buttered macaroni I asked for them to take it back and take it off my ticket and they said they couldn’t refund me but I hadn’t even paid I was literally in the middle of eating. It made no sense they were unnecessarily rude about it. The food was not great either. The prices are ridiculous for what it is as well.
Woohoo, they had a keto brisket bowl ???? Hubs got fish & chips. Really enjoyed our food, the waitress (owner?), and the historic elements they left in place that have always made this such an interesting place to stop for a date. I usually avoid meat when eating out, since lots of places leave it globbed with gristle or fat, bit I was very pleased with the quality of the brisket - just added a dash more salt to taste.
The Combination on Main. In harrodsburg Kentucky. Is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Me and another person went there at noon today. And we waited around for a hour or more for our food. We both ordered beers. One was gone in 30 minutes. And no one ever came around to ask if you want another. I nurse my beer for an hour and drink half of it until it became warm. Nursing it so I would have something to drink when I actually got my food. In the meantime we were by the register and only two tables cashed out in an hour. And three different people from a third party online food delivery service. Came in and waited. Only one of them got their food after a long time. The other two reassigned or canceled their orders and left frustrated. And one of them was told to go do what you want to do and come back cuz it's going to be a while. After an hour or more we asked the waitress who paid no attention to us at all. That we haven't received our food. She angrily went to the register to see when she placed the order. To tell us off that we were exaggerating. And when she saw it's been an hour or more she looked defeated didn't look at us or say anything. And went to the back. And within 2 minutes or less our order came out. No sorry or anything for the wait. And a table next to us that was already seated before we got there hadn't received their order. So we basically just got someone else's Burger order. That was up next before us redress quickly and pushed out to us. The other person I was with took one bite of an onion ring and it was doughy and undercooked. We told them that we were leaving and we would pay them for the drinks but not the food. And they fought us that we had to pay even though we didn't eat anything. And told us that we could take it to go. We said no and paid for our drinks and left. Worst dining out experience ever. And I can't even say anything about their food because. We never got it until we complained and it was just someone else's order pushed out to us.
