Best KPortal Reviews

After entering and wondering if it was even open, the lady finally appeared from the back room, she took my order, took my payment, served my coffee, and promptly left me to return to whatever was going on out back. The coffee was overpriced, the service and customer hospitality nonexistent, but damn was she pretty! Had she been any good at her job, I may of bought another overpriced coffee and a slice of cake that looked like it had seen better days! I’m a sucker for a pretty, smiling, welcoming polite face! ????
Use the Costa machine nextdoor. ????
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a couple of years but the reviews put me off. Finally tried yesterday for a mid
morning coffee and cake despite those reviews. Loved it. It’s quirky and interesting inside, the coffee and the cake were really good, and the toilets not as bad as people make out. I think we were lucky that we turned up when drinks were being prepared for other people but after us the server disappeared out the back and several other people came and went without being served. Definitely worth it for the experience and, as I said, cake was delicious
Popped in today to grab some coffee on the way home. Walked into the cafe notices the interesting decor. There was music playing be it was also eerily quiet at the same time. Not going to lie very unsettling! Walked up to the counter and waited to be served but no one appeared. There were some dirty cups on tables so they reassured me it was an actual cafe and not a film set. Decides to leave as I started to feel more unsettled the longer I waited. Looking at the reviews looks like I made the fight decision. I'm starting to question if this cafe is a front for something else ....
Over priced and terrible service. 2 cups of tea and a powdered hot chocolate for 12 quid..I couldn't believe it. The woman had no customer service skills what so ever and was frankly rude. Should be shut down for daylight robbery
I never usually write bad reviews but this experience left me feeling so furious I had to.
What looks like a lovely independent coffee shop from the outside can only be described as a dusty, cluttered and unwelcoming on the inside. Poor service, honestly the worst coffee I have ever had. My oat ‘flat white’ tasted like oil and the person who served me rushed from out of the back to throw together my drinks with no care or thought at all. We left after paying £8 for two coffees that we couldn’t bare too drink, they were honestly too disgusting. Wish I would of used the Costa machine next door.
Lovely from the outside, funky decor on the inside and great music, but abit loud. Could be amazing, only thing letting it down is the owner.
We thought she was just having a bad day on our first visit but no, it was just as bad, if not worse on the 2nd visit. It's actually so bad, it's worth the visit.
Just be prepared to be ripped off and served by a sour unfriendly face.
Quickest, Smallest and most expensive coffees in cornwall.
She rushed in from the back room very dishevelled and chaotic, like we had interrupted something we shouldn't have.
I won't be returning a 3rd time. I will rather use the Costa coffee machine next door.
Nice place, clean and tidy. It was quite when I visited but the atmosphere was pleasant and quirky. Service was prompt and polite. Prices are reasonable.
Perfectly pleasant place to stop for a tea, sandwich or cafe!
£8 for a cappuccino and espresso!!!! I didn't see a price list displayed anywhere, perhaps there was, but I thought this was a legal requirement? Given their great location you would think they would look at the terrible reviews and up their game. Visit once and never go back.
