Best KPortal Reviews

Came here because we were at the water park down the road and needed somewhere to eat. The restaurant there is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Sweet 1ne had the highest ratings in the area, for good reason. Very tasty food, and very friendly staff. Even the gym guy was very friendly (it's inside the gym). Highly recommend!
Food quality and quality is ????. Service is even better and the atmosphere ????????. Was here with family and friends. Had a taste of the jerk, rasta pasta, oxtail. And trust me. They never miss. My new fave restaurant.
Food was fantastic! Packed with flavour and will fill you up for sure. We got the lobster boil and there were leftovers, the jerk chicken was really nice, and of course we had to get the plantain too. Staff was great - Tolu was fun to chat to and kept us updated about the food times and had good recommendations. Definitely would go back. Only drawback was that it took a little time to arrive but we went on a Sunday when there were less staff, and were assured it doesn’t take as long normally.
Visited this place this week after a long time seeing it on social media.
The first time I was going to go, I wasn’t too sure if it was a gym or a restaurant. We did stop over and I grabbed the jerk chicken and jellof rice.
I called 10 minutes before arriving and placed my order, unfortunately I still had to wait another 15 minutes once arrived even though he said it’ll be ready on time.
I took the food away and had it in my car. The rice was nice and fluffy and had authentic seasoning which was good. The chicken however was horrific, it tasted old, reheated and did not taste like jerk chicken. I couldn’t finish it, the inside of the chicken and bone were black and just had a funky taste.
The steamed veg was good and complimented with the food well.
The atmosphere was weird, an old school gym right beside where you’re ordering your food. It felt unclean as a whole.
Overall, definitely won’t recommend this place however the new Lewisham branch looks good. Won’t visit again due to the lack of service and quality but could see why people would go here due to marketing.
4/10
Booked in a months advance for a 21st birthday meal…. We was asked to wait 20 mins outside in the cold, no sense of urgency what’s so ever, we felt it was a laughing matter to the staff. Once seated the electrics went before even being served a drink! After sitting in the dark we decided to leave, our first and last time here. Highly disappointed.
The customer service was great - the food was made fresh to order and the flavours were amazing - tried the crab leg and lobster tail seafood boil and I definitely recommend.
Had the chef special - it was sooo tasty. Jerk chicken, prawns, sausage and pasta all so flavourful and very generous portion. God knows my kitchen will not be used anymore because Sweet1ne is round the corner ????
I recently dined at 'Sweet One' and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the initial impression was promising with an appealing aroma, the overall quality of the dishes fell short.
The prawn was a highlight, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. However, the positive note ended there. The pasta was undercooked, suggesting a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. It left an unsavory impression as if it had been sitting out for too long. The lamb, regrettably, was of subpar quality and left an unpleasant taste in my mouth.
To add to the disappointment, the chicken was overcooked and hard, making it difficult to enjoy. Overall, I didn't derive the pleasure and satisfaction I anticipated from my meal.
In conclusion, 'Sweet One' has potential, but there are significant areas for improvement. Addressing the issues with pasta and ensuring better quality ingredients, especially with regards to the lamb, would greatly enhance the dining experience. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively and strives to provide a more enjoyable experience for its patrons in the future.
