Popped in on the way back down south for a chip shop fix . Owner was really nice and friendly , lovely chips / gravy / peas / curry . Will come back again next time I’m up here
When the wife introduced me to starfish I was shocked at how good the chicken tikka was. Since then if I can me bothered to drive after work as we live a good few miles away then I will do. Staff ate lovely prices great and food is above the rest.

Asked for a mixed meat and chips. Got home and realised they gave me just mixed meat - donor was cold. Paid a good £7 for just meat!
Will not be a rush to come back
Skimpy portion sizes for what you pay. Absolute rip-off. Small chips is less than a cones worth, and they are not tasty. Avoid and go elsewhere, there are much better chippys not far from here with proper portion sizes.
Excellent fish and chip shop ...clean and food good and the staff are polite and friendly...staff take multiple orders and then you wait... over 25 minutes tonight just for fish special and a pie special...think we were waiting on chips ...but customers who came in after me got there food before me ...and the portion of chips in my fish special was quite small ...food was nice as always though ????
Great tasting chips and they do battered halloumi!
Staff and atmosphere are good, will be coming again :)
