Very disappointing meal. Can tell the dishes were cooked very quickly with little care on quality . Onions were still raw in the Curry dishes when it's supposed to be cooked through, spices were also not cooked through properly on the dishes leading to an unpleasant taste.
We have had many dine in and take away Indian meals in various locations up and down the country and having moved back to Oxfordshire we were keen to find a good one and we sure have. We have thoroughly enjoyed our meals so far and look forward to using SpiceBox again. Thank you

I had 3 dishes, all made with Chicken Tikka. Modras, Jalfrazi and Bhuna
I haven’t written a review for a long time but had to do so today, I am a British Indian Restaurant curry lover. I always get my takeaway curries from here and as always it’s been superb. I have seen some negative reviews and wonder if they are for this establishment as I have never had a made meal here! Keep up the good work! Superb Curries!
Very delicious food and staff were friendly and kind! The mint sauce is my favourite and I am always craving it! Would definitely recommend to anyone in oxford looking for a wonderful experience, 100% returning!
Very disappointed, me and my bf order occasionally and we were really disapointed the last few times - change of chef? The tarka dahl was disgusting, there was more oil than lentils and it tasted very weird and bland. You could just taste a strange flavour of garlic, it seemed like the oil was old. The chicken curry wasnt great either and the lamb starter was as hard and dry as a tyre. The ONLY delicious thing on the menu was the amazing naan bread - thats all I enjoyed really. I wouldnt be so harsh if it didnt cost us £20 for the feast for 1 but for that price you expect at least mediocre quality edible food. Not only that but I had the worst stomach/intestinal pain ive had in a long time. I was waking up at night with diarrhoea and in the morning where I was running to the loo every 20mins at work and warning people not to go inside the loos!
Drivers are Very lazy
They need to come out their cars no manners when you tell them come out your cars they get grumpy with you.
Isit safe for anyone to approach a random car, someone sitting in their and not knowing who is he or she waiting for etc.
That's how spice box drivers are they EXPECT you to come to the car and pick the food. Not professional at all.
If You still wish to order from here, and have the same issue please call the restaurant and ask to speak to the manager.
And inform Deliveroo.
I don't normally write reviews, but these guys just delivered one of the best curries I've ever had, including at eat-in restaurants!
Food was delivered really quickly, and was piping hot when it arrived, all seemed very fresh.
We had a Korma, Lamb Bhuna, Saag Aloo, Keemasemosas, Naan bread, and some Pilau Rice. Every dish was delicious.
I thought the price was very fair too (Monday set menu was a bargain!)
Highly recommend this place.
Avoid avoid avoid. Worst Indian we've ever had in Oxford!! Bland tasteless food, greasy couldn't even taste garlic and onion base from sauce. Dry chewy naan, a poppadom you could literally bend in half and bhajis that were like stones. Indian food should at least have a base taste, as a chef I know most Indian chefs pride themselves on their spicing skills well this 'chef' mustn't have a clue. Thrown up twice this morning after only eating about 5 forkfuls of food. Avoid avoid avoid . Disgusting
