Our new first and last stop when holidaying in the Highlands!
I've read a few moaning reviews but its called 'Snack Shack' and its in the middle of nowhere in the Highlands... Did they expect a 5* michelin experience!!??
Its proper grub at decent prices,
Great Coffee and even better food! Just what you need at 10am after an 8 hour drive!
The lady serving is very friendly and polite, the room is huge with plenty of space between tables, although a bit cold in winter so put a wooly on, but theres a hugh log burner which soon warms you up, the tables etc are spotlessly clean but best of all the location is stunning with delightful views out of the windows, we cant wait to return in June! Thank you Snack Shack!... Loaded sandwich guy ????????
Lovely food, friendly staff, easy atmosphere. Reasonably priced, will stop again.
We have stopped at the Snack Shack several times and it is a perfect place to visit to stretch your legs, use the ???? restrooms and have a bite to eat. The food is homemade, tasty and reasonably priced £. The menu is extensive and has vegetarian options. The service is friendly and fast and the facility is clean. The interior looks like a modern chalet (perhaps a little dated, but who cares as it is clean) with vaulted ceilings and it is equipped with a wood burning stove for ambiance and heat. The views by the windows are nice as there is a stream with wildlife.
breakfast rolls are something else. Enormous, great value. Great fuel for long days in the hills. Relaxed inside with log burner.
Good place for a quick bite, portions of food are quite filling and tasty. Would have been 5 stars had the owner been a bit more polite.
What a great little place to stop. 1 minute off the A9. Lovely hot food. Scottish breakfast was great too. Obviously I had the French toast and it was out of this world. Love the decorations too
Nice place to stop for lunch as we traveled north through the Highlands. We enjoyed good conversation with groups from around the world. Lovely tomato soup and bread with and butter. They have a horse and other farm animals to pet. Motorcyclists, bicyclists, hikers, people with campers, and cars were present. Seems to be a very popular place.
Nice wee stop off place. Friendly staff and very nice food.
I will eat here again next time i pass.
