Popped in for impromptu Saturday night tea. Despite a busy schedule we were accomodated at such short notice. Service was fast efficient and pleasant. Food freshly prepared, starters a little overdone but main course fresh and delicious. We thought it very good value for money. Would have no hestation in returning.
Lovely freshly made food been here a few times, and it's excellent. Nice atmosphere and great customer service. Highly recommend.

Food was just good, but the service was shocking. Walked through the door and didn’t even get a welcome or a hello, just a “can we help” and didn’t even get took to our table they pointed to it. No smiles or nothing. The music they had on wasn’t really bar/bistro, not really the music you want to hear whilst eating. One young (coloured in the nicest way) lady was so sweet and lovely.
good prices, tasty food, pleasant atmosphere, friendly service. went there with my sister - i had the steak pie that was very good (tender, tasty beef, mash, veg) and she had a burger which she said was good too.
I have given 5/5 food and service excellent, our waitress was lovely very efficient and friendly. Then we came to pay ...oh my what a contrast frosty manageress, a little training needed for her she will ruin this lovely place........how difficuilt is it to smile..........and sadly that is the lasting memory your left with ????
Went here as part of a large group in January, all our meal choices had been pre-ordered so no problems there,I had steak pie was ok but I've had far better, my husband had steak which was tiny, restaurant is clean enough, tastefully decorated, the main bug bear of the night was the older woman behind the bar who was constantly staring at our table with a dead pan face, not very friendly looking or appropriate behaviour for behind a bar, much prefer The Woodsman, The Royal Oak in Alloa or anywhere else actually, so no, won't be back
Just had dinner at the Smugglers , had the steak pie and mash , service great , warm welcome from Grace and the team , give it a try , best to book , will be going back .
