We have a 77 vw camper that sprung an oil leak aomewhere between london and inverness on our way to do the NC500.
Was recommended Russels as a vw guy.
On arrival he was super busy and really really didn't want to get involved due to time, Russell a true believer in karma decided he would have a quick look for us to see if he indeed could help.
Typical of a good mechanic he found the leak and was a minor fix.
He did say he was so good he embarrasses himself sometimes ( tongue in cheek)
I cant recommend this guy highly enough and want to thank him and let you know we completed the 2500 mile round trip without losing another drop

Whilst on a road trip in Scotland, we went through a patch with lots of stones. One got stuck inside the wheel. It started making a grinding noise. We couldn’t get a fast enough support from Tesla to get us back on the route. We found Russell’s garage nearby. We were well impressed with the welcome and a service with a smile. Within 25 minutes the problem was fixed and the charge was very very reasonable. Highly recommend this garage. What a pleasant experience.
On holiday at Old North Inn, on way to Inverness car shock absorber mounting broke. Asked at hotel if they knew a good garage and they recommended Russell's garage. It was just down the road from hotel which was ideal. Phoned first thing in morning, they were very helpful, sourced part straight away and fitted me in during morning. Phoned me back before lunchtime with car fixed so I could still go out that day and enjoy holiday. Very pleased with service, excellent garage.
Russell’s garage came highly recommended, especially for VW’s, and his efficient and highly knowledgable service was impressive. Within minutes of arriving he had located the fault and gave a detailed description of what needed done. He has masses of experience and knows the old air-cooled engines inside out. We had driven up from London and had a technical issue with our VW T4 campervan. I called multiple garages in Inverness to get a professional assessment but everyone was busy and couldn't fit us in for at least a week. I found Russell's details on a VW T4 forum and gave him a call. He was equally busy but understanding predicament managed to squeeze us in. The post I read in the forum said that Russell had 'VW running through his veins' . That's true, he certainly knows his stuff. He help diagnose the issue and we are now back on the road. Brilliant service and extremely helpful. Thank you Russell.
