Great chippy, eat in and takeaway. The food's always been good whenever I've been, with really nice chips, never had any half cooked ones or anything. The fish is always decent too. It's worth going if only to try one of their massive 'jumbo sausages'! I've only used the takeaway so can't comment on the restaurant section.
Fish and chip restaurant. The food was very nice. The fine batter on the fish was very tasty. It wasn't thick and gluggy as is common in a lot of take aways. The curry sauce was home made and had a subtle and quite delightful taste and texture. This place was well worth a visit
My wife went in today around 1.25 pm to get Cod & Chips, brought them home they were absolutely perfect. I am so fed up of going into Fish & Chip shops in the area and asking for Cod & Chips and having a Whiting or similar instead. Well done Royal Oak you have gained Fish & Chip customers. I would fully recommend.
Superb Fish and Chips ! Relaxed comfortable Restaurant not a Cafe atmosphere.Best I"ve had and very reasonable "eat in' prices. Good size portions even offered extra chips if wanted. Highly recomended and will be returning.
